What a gorgeous little family Lewis :clap: .....Will Hilary & the chicks get up into the nestbox or are they going to be sleeping in the poo tray? I have 2 nurseries in use at the mo & am unsure whether to raise the level of the poo tray so they can hop easily into the nestbox or just use the poo tray :anxious:

 

I assume the Pekin chicks will be smaller than the Lt Sussex babes we had last year....mind you last year Buffie overflowed the nestbox on her own, hence the fact we didn't use the nestbox at all :roll:

I've put the smaller roosting bars over the nest box + filled it with shavings + aubiose so they can't get in ... so they'll sleep in the poo tray :)

I don't think the chicks would get up into the nestbox even with a full tray :think::lol:

 

Pekins are sooo cute - really hoping its a girl :P

OOOh ooh ooh Lewis, they must have hatched in Cutesville, Cute County, United States of Cute! Are you going to name them? Icarus sprung to mind for one of them - no idea which ;)

Not named them yet - don't know their sexes so don't want to name them then have to rehome/eat them :anxious:

That's EXACTLY why I'm not allowed on here! :shock: no hatching until we win the lottery and buy a farm so we can keep our cockerels. (sorry if I've broken the unwritten rule about naming - I really sympathise with why now) (and hope they're all girls!)

Hate to say this Lewis, but all the really really cutie chickies we have hatched here have been boys. :anxious: Shirl runs away and hides. :lol:
