batcatz
I liked Belguim better than Germany. I reckon Germany won because the song was already famous in Europe.
craftyhunnypie
I loved the Madcon song & all the different countries dancing. Would have loved to do that. We liked Moldova, Iceland, Spain, France & that lad with the girlie hairdo! I liked Germany when I heard it again - although her voice sounded odd & too young. We laughed our socks off at the scores coming in, especially at the woman who sounded like a bloke & when she said 'favour' I was nearly crying! Those Belarus butterfly wings were so cheesy! Lavenders_Blue
Loved, loved, loved Eurovision last night. The Belarus butterfly wings were fab and I WANT a dress like that! I thought the apricot stone song was great (how can anyone write an entire song about an apricot stone?!) But Greece - well what can I say....................OPA! Our entry was pretty ordinary and I thought the German song was terrible! Oh, and I thought Graham Norton was funny too. I did have doubts about him as Terry Wogan's replacement but actually he's been great!
Chucky Mama
Am I the only one who didn't like Germany? I thought it was awful, she sounded like she was singing in a cockney accent! We liked Romania, Cyprus and Denmark here. We derserved to come last, the lad did his best bless him but the backing singers were terrible and I agree the song didn't have any oomph or climax to it - just a bit ordinary. No, I didn't like Germany either but we bet on it as it was already a hit in Europe. Think she thought she was Lilly Allen Yes, one of our backing singers seemed to be singing in a completely different key I don't think France could win as they used their world cup football song and who is going to vote for that I wondered how come we get to the final if our song is seen as bad enough to come last, someone told me it is because we pay to get through Don't know if that's true though. Valkyrie
I liked the Slovenian one but it didn't make the final. I also liked Barry Manilow and Lola for Denmark. They even dug up Leo Sayer - and he had 2 goes. Detested Greece and UK. Murray liked the twin piano one but only because of the tight leather. Lots of the girls had such long hair although Apricot Lil did have extensions. Now there's a song with a good tune but needed work on the lyrics. Plus drip drop - bleh. susanbb
Yep we fund a lot of it along with France, Germany and Spain hence why we always compete. I liked the Belgian entry. Had to laugh at Graham at the fact he was appalled that one of the jurors could only fork out for a "zippy top" I liked when Madcon came on and everyone danced along
Christian
Had to laugh at Graham at the fact he was appalled that one of the jurors could only fork out for a "zippy top" He said. "what is this, dress down Saturday"?? Brilliant.
Griffin
I spotted Leo Sayer too Graham Norton is just fab, I totally get his sense of humour and sarcasm
Seagazer
Loved Graham Norton's commentary on the Eurovision. We loved quite a few of the songs this year with France, Greece and Denmark amongst our favourites. Sadly my OH liked the song with the piano players but only because of the leather and lady as well!! Thought our song sounded awful. It was quite embarrassing. Do you think they sabotaged the backing singers to make them sing off key especially? Deserved to come in last I'm afraid. Lena's strange accent put me off but I enjoyed it the second time round. patsylabrador
We have such a wealth of musical talent in this country of all genres that I reckon the BBC deliberately enters awful songs because they don't want to host it if we won. One of the reasons I gave up on it was because I didn't think we were being fairly represented, Britain could easily win year after year if it tried. I don't think I'm the only person who thinks that either.
