As for the plot line,well I have a theory which I think I posted on here when the last book came out. Its a bit far fetched for some peoples taste, but I remain convinced none the less Basically I think that it was NOT DD who get bumped off at the end of the last book, but Moody on Poyjuice.He volunteered himself to do this as a sacrifice, & Snape also volunteered (reluctantly) to do the deed,therefore really getting him in with the Death Eaters. Moody is barely mentioned in the book (where is he?),& Polyjuice is - therefore bringing it & its use back to the readers attention. So,I reckon Harry will get lots of unseen help from DD to collcect the remaining Horcruxes,will knock off old Voldypants & will marry Ginny,not Hermione (who is going to marry Ron) DD will reveal himself at the end of the book,Snape will be a hero & I think that Neville & a teacher will die. For a start it would upset a lot of children (& adults) And then she is also missing out on the opportunity to do Adult Harry books. I know she doesn't need to, & is probably heartliy sick of writing Potter books by now,but she is very creative & who knows how she may feel in 15 years time? Harry is Voldemort Or at least Voldemort is Harrys bad side and yes Snape is fundamentally a good guy. I quite like him too. I've got to agree with reading all the books so far and thoroughly enjoying them, but I've not really put to much thought into analysing what might happen next. That said it's quite some since I read any of them, so details are a bit blurry, maybe I should follow Cinnamon's example and re-read the lot. Martin, my son felt just the same as you, he eagerly read the first 3, ploughed his way through 4, and was heartily bored of them by 5 & 6, I don't think he got past the 1st chapter with either of them I have got the next one on order, but largely because WHSmith had some offer on a few weeks ago which meant that if you placed a pre-order and paid a £2 deposit you got £5 off your shopping Sounded a bit odd to me, but what the heck, I ended up saving £5, and wasn't going to turn that down. I'm convinced there has to be a twist there somewhere, and that Snape is really a good guy - your theory makes perfect sense. Can't wait for the last book! And Harry definitely must not cop it!
