Chucky Mama
Dear Mother Nature, Not wishing to critise at all as you do a fantastic job but I have a suggestion. Would it be possible to get foxes to eat the ever growing population of rats rather than chickens. There seem to be plenty of them around and it would be great if the foxes turned their attention to keeping their numbers under control. It would also reduce the amount of poison used which would surely be a good thing. If the foxes would like a little more variation in their diet there also seems to be an abundance of large juicy wood pigeons. They appear to breed far more frequently than any other bird and are quite slow when it comes to taking off due to their weight. They enjoy a diet rich in poultry and wild bird food which should make them particularly tasty. Yours faithfully, Chucky Mama
The Dogmother
I know what you mean - a friend has just called the 'Terrier Man' to deal with her rat problem - she was also wondering why the foxes don't do it - I guess that chickens and fat wood pigeons are an easier target. The Dogmother
Did you used to listen to Terry Wogan on R2 too?
meezers
LOL I wish ! My rats seem to have disappeared at the moment. After waging war on them for the last 2 months to stop them digging into the run , there has been no sign of them for over a week now. But I can't relax, I know they are there , probably holed up somewhere planning their next line of attack - just hope I'm ready when they reappear. Egluntyne
It must be the tails that are putting the foxes off eating rats. It would me. *shudder*.
