whoopsie
I had a lovely letter today from the JD Wetherspoon chain thanking me for my suggestion of free range chicken on the menu and assuring me that ALL eggs used by them either as ingredients or stand-alone are free range. RESULT!!!!! As if I needed another excuse to go to the pub.........
The Dogmother
Our local sports centre (Spiceball in Banbury) has free range eggs on the menu.
craftyhunnypie
The Hafod Hotel at Devils Bridge, Ceredigion, Wales. Yummy free range eggs. They even have a photo up of the farm they come from wit a snippet from the local paper. The chef asked if the eggs were free range & the lady held the phone to the bokking girls! Plus he's visited the farm too. It's an excellent eating place! Emma.x

Mrs Potts
The Fold, Bransford, on A4103 between Worcester and Leigh Sinton (nearish to Malvern). The Cafe sources local and organic food, including meat and eggs. Really lovely place to eat, serving a meat and a vegetarian main, salads and soups every day. Thai red cabbage pie and lentil cottage pie with mustard mash delicious and Sunday roasts are lovely too. Have to say it has widened the kids' tastebuds no end and we no longer need their cook to order menu of burgers, home made pizzas and pasta. Lots of parking out the back with half a dozen craft shops on site. Closed Mondays, including Bank Holidays, but open every other day. Mrs Potts
That was a long post/recommendation. I don't own it and I am not related to anyone who does - sorry!
Shirl
I can recommend The Black Boy in Coggeshall. It is mainly light meals but they do have some more substancial meals. I've only ever had sandwiches in there but the orange juice is freshly squeezed and the eggs are free range. They source local foods and aim to use organic where possible. It isn't expensive either considering the quality.
whoopsie
We stopped off at a Little Chef this weekend and were delighted to read that they use FR eggs, outdoor reared pork (for sausages) and fish from sustainable sources - not bad for 'Roadside Services'! We also stayed over at the Swan Inn, Stoford (Salisbury) and they use FR eggs and locally sourced food for their (rather fabulous) breakfast. soapdragon
Must be having a bad day! When I read the title of this thread I thought this was about places that you could take your hens whilst you have a bite - rather like dog/child friendly pubs
