Nursing is kind of related to Human Anatomy

 

Theres a cinema on campus at the Arts Centre At home we all go every week so its wierd not going, will have to go here too.

 

Went to the Soceities Fayre yesterday (sure I posted but its gone!) ... joined a few + signed up for more info on others. Theres literally one for everything, and if not you can get money to make your own.

 

Students Helping Animals of the Globe was the one I thought was the most 'me' - they raise money for animal charities + arrange work experience, so should be helpful for the course and obv socials will be good too.

Spoke to all 5 drama soc's too about being a techie for them and they seemed like they were interested in the help

 

We had Dom from CBBC Dick & Dom at the SU last night ... with gunge tank!! Dick had to pull out 'cos his mom passed away

They're back on kids telly in Jan apparently

That society does sound right up your street Lewis, I'd be interested to find out what you are doing with them being an animal lover myself, and I am quite sure other forum members will be too

I thought I'd read on here that you were getting a visit from Dick & Dom, was going to ask you what they were like, then I couldn't find it anywhere Thought I was going crazy

 

What was Dom like? Was he as hyper as he seems on telly?

He was alright

Not as hyper as on the telly - probably 'cos he was on his own + didn't have Dick to bounce off - must be wierd to be on your own after being used to a double act!

We still had 2 teams to shout Boogiiiiiies even though he wasn't there

Bless him, he must have been lost without his partner in crime, I'm surprised he still did it alone, but shows great professionalism that he did.

 

Dom is the better looking of the two in my humble opinion, not that I often eye up childrens TV presenters (well not since I used to eye up Phillip Scofield when I was a youngster)

I loved all the societies.. I was in the hug club, the SSAGO (scouts and guiding assoc that went helping the guides in the area), rock soc, beer soc, wine appreciation, LGBT, and some really weird ones too!!

 

Am I odd that I have never seen anything with Dick and Dom in? I'm only 28...

Snap Space Chick! Same age in a few weeks, no kids - but know that they are children's tv something.

Sound like you're having a great time Lewis what with all the social stuff too Students Helping Animals of the Globe sounds really interesting - I've not heard of that before. Is it something that all the universities do? If so, I'll have to get DS to check it out at his uni.

Think S.h.a.g is probably just an Aber thing 'cos they all seem to be like that, but Uni's normally have similar ones to each other anyway

 

Been to first lecture today at 9 - had to get the bus 'cos its on the other (farmy) campus. Was tipping it down on the way back + got soaked! Went shopping for a few bits, first time

Student Loan is through aswell!

Glad it's all going well, Lewis. We head up north for Jack to start at Lancaster tomorrow - hope it's stopped pouring by then or the drive will not be fun in any way. I'm expecting a damp drive home, as I don't think mums are programmed for this, even after doing it with both his brother and sister already. Ho hum. Wonder if the chooks will enjoy watching "House" with me

Just had an Equine Anatomy + Physiology lecture and found out we get to dissect a pig, sheep + horses leg/foot, head and digestive system and thats just for 2 modules
