Aunty e
Oh dear, what a nightmare. Naughty naughty baby. My last birth (hospital, sideways baby, forceps) wasn't so bad, but I'm really hoping to have an epidural this time. And to be able to get out and home as soon as possible, I hate staying in the hospital. Baby still a boy according to scan this morning, so PM me your address and I'll pop some pretty things in the post for you. Hopefully baby will be here by the time they arrive! Reikiranf
Cally, if you do end up being induced don't worry, I was induced when my son was 13 days overdue, it wasn't the awful experience I'd been expecting The pessaries did sting a bit, and it took a while for labour to get going but my son was born 5 hours after I was given the pessaries so not too bad, I had gas and air for pain relief. So try not to get too stressed and relax, I think this baby is a classic case of "a watched pot never boils"

chicken bark
Cally I think you've been in the slowest labour for days. She'll surprise you and pop out while you are doing the washing up... Okay maybe not. I hope it goes well for you and happens soon. I had 3 homebirths but never tried the birthing pool. Hope it is as good in practice as it sounds in theory. CallyChook
had a wriggle on the aerobics ball but it seems to be fading. Have phoned hubby (couldn't help it!) and he says that if it does go away, then he is buying us a takeaway tea to cheer us up. It has been so long since we splashed out (wasted) money on a takeaway that it's almost as good as having a baby! mmmm chicken tikka masala, with indian egg fried rice and a garlic naan. mmmm chat or vegetable pakora to start.... that hubby of mine he knows how to keep me calm and not get too upset xx

Chucky Mama
Cally, I would be in a bit of a quandary if I was you. Can you work it so that you get the takeaway AND the baby tonight?
Looney
Ooh,I was thinking similar things - now I don't know whether I want baby to hurry up or stay put so you can have a takeaway.....
CallyChook
if she gets out before 9pm, I was also thinking that the perfect gift for a new mum from her partner was not a diamond and opal encrusted eternity ring, but an Indian... will be demanding one post-baby if she takes a few days yet! had one more crampy, was quite a good one! CallyChook
I decree that if this does turn into labour, every omleteer should buy a takeaway to celebrate the long wait being over! Sadly, it has stopped, but it might start again, I'm not going to get too stressed just yet.
CallyChook
hehe, my facebook page has also been getting updated regularly about baby. I told everyone that I was also keeping Omlet up to date, and my poultry loving friend who occationally pops on here posted the other day that she would check on here, then said: "15 pages of posts! indeed! You're going to rival "fox attacks - what happened" and other major threads Hope things are progressing." hahaha, I love that baby is as active a thread as the foxy one! Get down, evil foxy! chicken bark
I think you should have a vindaloo - that should get her moving and the thread has come round full circle looking at the title... Maybe the curry trick will work - it just needs the correct amount of curries.

CallyChook
possibly both... went for curry, sat down ate chicken chat, then son pestered to go for a walk out. didn't see why not as the starter filled me up so been on a toddle round the village. been having contractions every five mins, but not very strong. Now that we're home, we'll see if they carry on or if they were just because I was up and moving. Time to eat my curry too once DS in bed!
