absolutely shattered tonight, but cant go to bed for at least an hour - because I have to be the Tooth Fairy.

youngest lost a tooth last night but not til about 11pm (woke up with it bleeding and gappy...) so obviously there was no way the TF could get her act together last night. however this morning I found a 2 page letter to the TF, with some quite piercing questions, including "do you like cupcakes?", "do you know who Justin Bieber is?" and most impressively, "why do you only give £1 per tooth why not £5?".

The TF has typed and printed a multicoloured letter and then stained the paper with a bit of kitchen roll and espresso (smells great!!) but now I've got to wait til she's really asleep...

Ah I remember those days, desperately trying to stay awake and then trying to find the tooth.

 

YS had 3 teeth out in preparation of his braces being fitted next week and was most miffed not to have a cash exchange for them from me.

Wow, the tooth fairy gives £1 nowadays? I only used to get 20p! I suppose that's inflation for you...

How lovely to hear your youngest wrote a letter to the TF, I bet you were quite surprised to find that.

My eldest daughter (who at 13 still insists she believes in the TF and Father Christmas!) is the worlds lightest sleeper with creaky floorboards in her room to boot. So many times we've had to make our excuses as she wakes to find us creeping around in her room Now to make it easier for the TF the girls have made a little pocket that hangs on the wall on the landing. Teeth wait patiently in there and the TF can safely visit without disturbing anybody

Tooth fairy used to leave IOUs quite regularly in our household....never had change when required (and for my kids it was 50p for molars and 1st tooth, otherwise 20p)...but she was a dab hand at writing little notes to explain herself!

Tooth Fairy here has been known to be rather erratic, depending on how much cash she can s"Ooops, word censored!"e up and how much wine she may or may not have had that night and what time the Tooth-ee actually conked out...

bless, they're 14 and 11 and a half and I know they dont believe 'really' - but on the other hand, you cant have a stocking if you dont believe in santa!!
