Egluntyne
Black as night and very humid here. Am expecting a clap of thunder before long.
The Dogmother
Ooo, we've had that the last couple of days but it came to nothing. Been humid and cloudy here all day, we're expecting showers tomorrow and thunder on Wednesday.
Old Speckled Hen
Thunder and lightening then hammered down this morning for about ten minutes, the lanes and our drive awash with water now gone. 18˚
abwsco
Saturday was absolutely roasting hot and sunny. Sunday and yesterday weren't as warm and also overcast. We had heavy rain bouncing early last night and early this morning there was torrential rain which woke me up, twice. I usually sleep through anything so it must have been bad. Now it's just grey and miserable
The Dogmother
20deg at 8am this morning, sunny, blue sky with clouds but the air is still and humid. We're forecast showers this afternoon.
squiffs
I think I'm going to throw up - this humid weather and the combination of giving up smoking means my newly acquired sense of smell is super sensitive to anything pungent I walk past - doggy doo, peoples' rubbish - Brighton STINKS in the summer time. Not to mention salt and seaweed. Please rain, to give my nose a break
The Dogmother
Just checked the weather forecast and my part of the Midlands isn't due rain now until Thursday.

The Dogmother
A light drizzle over night and a humid 16deg at 6am It's raining slightly harder now and I understand that we're in for a monsoon here later in the day. I love the smell of rain on hot earth
squiffs
I got absolutely drenched on the way to work, my coat, and every layer of clothing was sodden.
chickencam
So much for the forecast then. We had a perfect summer's day yesterday, but it is raining this morning, still quite humid, the office is still hot but it is cooler outside. The sun is supposed to return late afternoon, just in time for Pimms on the terrace
The Dogmother
Just had another look at the weather video for my area and they seem to have downgraded the predicted thundery monsoon for today to light rain, clearing up later. Friday looks sunny, showers on Saturday and rain again on Sunday and the first two days of next week. I on't mind it raining when I'm at work. percy049
Powercut last night for over an hour - at least we had already shut the hens up in their house! The strange thing was me (and several others on Twitter), said we kept seeing red lightning (well, a red flash across the sky), but no thunder. I thought that this may be something to do with the pylons
beach chick
couldnt we just have summer? you know, a sort of reliable stint of 10-14 days where the sun (that big glowing thing in the sky, you might remember it) actually shone; we could actually plan to have a BBQ the day after tomorrow, or go on a day out without taking wellies, kagoules, cardies, sun cream, sun hats etc to cover every eventuality? Chickvic
Well I'm sorry to anyone who lives near me - glorious sunshine until I hung my washing out
chickencam
I wish that I had taken no notice of the forecast today, then i would have done some washing, apart from a couple of spots in the air it has been a lovely day for the most part

ali-s
Torrential rain since Saturday evening. Flooding and landslides have closed roads. Woke up this morning and it is still raining and the wind is getting up. The forecast for the rest of the week looks bleak and I finish work at lunchtime for two weeks. My plans for gardening will have to be put on hold.
Blackrocksrock
Its awful here - Keith agricultural show cancelled as so so wet and I am only too glad this time next week I will be getting ready to go on holiday - thank goodness i will see some sunshine this year!
