Dry and sunny here despite the predictions. I was out at 8.30 to get some gardening done because I still think it may rain later, it's becoming more overcast, but hoping to get another hour's work in before it starts.

Yesterday it did brighten up in the late afternoon. Saw the huuuuuge moon. But back to normal today. Rain.

We've had some heavy rain here but it's stopped now and Phil says that it will stay nice for the rest of the day.

Got up ridiculously early this morning to take the hell hounds out for a really long walk as BBC weather said it would rain by 9.00 and we really didn't fancy yet another wet walk. And guess what.. No rain so far! The first rain-free day for two weeks. Yay.

Well, our promised clear afternoon lasted all of about 15 minutes we took the dogs out and had to beat a hasty retreat half way after a thunder storm threatened to overtake us!

I let the hens out at around 7ish, The poor things went out for two minutes ran inside for 10 then

came out for another 5 before it started to rain again.

We did get a better late afternoon when the sun came out. Cleaned the girls out while I could and did a spot of gardening at one point it tried to rain on us a bit but it was short lived. Put the girls in for the night and it was raining again. No stars, just cloud at the mo. Oh well, at least one part of the garden looks better. Actually the aquilegias are looking terrific this year!

It's dry, sunny and 10 degrees at the moment. I think the forecast is for it continue but my little weather station predicts rain We will find out eventually

Beautiful sunny morning today after all the rain during the night. Feels warmer out but I think the rain clouds are gathering.

It's damp outside, brighter grey this morning. The sun has tried but gone again.

Who had the tornado yesterday? Heard it was in the Thames Valley - DoggyM did it get anywhere near you?

No, didn't see it here. We narrowly missed the thunder, which we could hear in the distance, and we had torrential rain at 10pm last night but it's nice this morning... 9deg first thing and pretty bright.

Glad you were out of reach! They said the storm went from Wiltshire through Buckinhamshire and Oxfordshire! That's some big storm!!!

 

Ooooh blue sky - one narrow strip in the east, paths are drying in patches!

Very grey and has been drizzling (makes me think of a Peter Kay sketch about dinner ladies ) then raining and now back to drizzle.

 

My garage seems to be leaking from somewhere and I keep loads of shoes in it so will need to find them a new, dry home Not to mention all the aubiose, food and other chickeny bits that don't fit in the big shed or the extra shed which hold all the other chickeny things

Just seen the news report, that looks to have come in form the west and gone below us. The storm we heard in the distance was terrific though.

Not quite so hot here scuba babe Well my weather station was wrong. It has been a lovely sunny day no rain at all ( 11.8 degrees isn't bad for early evening )

I can't help thinking that this will probably be our summer though We usually have a nice May and then when the schools break up it starts to rain

I don't mind that it isn't warmer but I do wish it would stop raining for a bit longer at a time. Every time I grab stinky's lead, the heavens open. Poor thing, she is getting very confused. Eventually realised it is not going to stop so have taken her out anyway but not enjoyable in this weather.
