2009 Omlet cube and run for sale

I managed to drop the 2 eggs collected from my girls this morning.

 

Normally I put them in my fleece pocket but today put them in plastic box that took the girls morning mash out in and stupid me..... the box slipped out my fingers on way back to house and hit the floor.

 

Off course they cracked , am so annoyed with myself.

 

Of well, at least all not lost, have just scrambled them up and the girls can have them tomorrow for brekkie.

 

I will stick to my safe pockets in future.!

I drop them often, thankfully i have two very helpful labradors that will clean them up so i can just

mop the floor if needed.

As my girls have only just started laying (5 eggs so far) I think I would cry if I dropped one - they are TOO precious

I feel so bad when I do that, i have only done it couple of times, once when I tripped over something and fell flat on my face. I hurt myself trying to save the egg in my hand

 

I think that you appreciate the eggs so much more when you know how much effort has gone into them.

It is, I have done that so many times I've lost count. i put them in my pocket then bend down to get something and they almost always break

Yup - put them in my fleece pocket, and then bounce the run door with my hip to close it ....

I once popped one in to my front jeans pocket (they are loose jeans), came in & sat down.

The worst is when you put them in your blazer 'cos if you collect them in the morning you'll probably forget and have an egg with you all day, or after school you take it straight off and its still there the next morning!

Me too. I've only managed to eat two eggs so far cause I'd rather collect and admire them!

I usually egg collect with my baby in his sling and used to tuck the eggs into the sling too, thinking it was a nice safe place...
