Alis girls
Think the Christmas and New year partying (!) has left me feeling like a wrungout dishcloth. back at work - busy busy busy and am already tired and fed up with weather. chrimbo decks are down and I can see the dust cos I havent had time to clean properly. But on positve note - springs round the corner, days will start getting lighter. I always said i was a pessimist in an optimists body. Think I just have new year blues - i feel a song coming on

Janepie33
Yep. Feel exactly the same. There was even something about it in the paper. It's called 'Social jet lag'. You get the same symptoms as jet lag. But as you say.... spring is just around the corner!
Alis girls
Thanks cathy - glad its not just me. All my own fault of course, rich food, alcohol and no exercise due to icey streets. have only me to blame
Space Chick
I am feeling shattered since being back in work. I think it's getting back into a routine again
Purplemaniacs
I am feeling shattered since being back in work. I think it's getting back into a routine again Me too and I have only been back today Normally look forward to going back to school, not this time perhaps I need to think about doing something else, I always used to love being a TA but not at the moment. Perhaps it will be better when I get back into the routine. Chrissie
Looney
Yes I'm feeling a bit unsettled and am looking forward to some spring days too. It doesn't help that I'm less mobile than usual (baby due in 9 days), feel a bit odd about leaving work etc. Oh well, soon I won't have time to think about it with a toddler and a newborn to look after! Cinnamon
Me too. I am having trouble sleeping as well, and woke at 3am today with a buzzing brain. Am shattered today as I couldn't drop back off.....was on auto pilot at work.
Snowy
Normally this time of year I start planning my camping trips/holidays for the year ahead - researching areas then narrowing it down to specific sites. Usually gets me through the dreary days!
Egluntyne
I find that looking at seed catalogues cheers me up no end. I must get out more.
Plum
Good luck Looney, your good news will give us a boost. I've been feeling so tired as well and keep dropping asleep. Just had an hour asleep in front of the tele and when I go to bed my arms ache and keep jumping, only done it recently must be all the toxins post Christmas. jill the potter
Yes 'out of sorts' is the best way to describe the feeling. Not back teaching until next week so thought I would paint the bathroom. Small bathroom, not a big job, but oh boy!!! I felt like a slug climbing the ladders...something that would normally take me a couple of hours took me nearly all day!!!! Now is this, overindulgence, lack of fitness, or just simply age!?!?!?!? The worst of it is, it all needs another coat tomorrow !!!!!
jill the potter
...and then to top it all you fall into bed exhausted and then can't sleep......................
Seagazer
I kept falling asleep on the settee over Christmas, very unusual for me. I think the over indulging at Christmas on top of all the snow before, so I didn't do as much walking with the pooch has made such a big difference to me. Sort of getting back on track now although seem to be coming down with a cold type thing. Need to start daydreaming about a holiday I think. It would help though if YS wasn't intent on going somewhere skiing!! I could do with some warmth.
Alis girls
Must admit when I did this thread I thought I'd be told off for feeling sorry for myself but it seems I am not alone. i think its the weather lack of light etc. Heres to spring. Looney - 9 days and you are still at work - rest woman - you will be knackered (am I allowed the K word?)
Shirl
Yes I'm feeling k.......d too and like Jill can't sleep when I get into bed. I seem to be seeing 2, 3 and even 4 am all too frequently which makes getting up at 7 quite difficult.
jill the potter
O M G !! When I woke up this morning I thought I had flu!!!! No, just every bone in my body ached!!!! Gave the bathroom a second coat and now, after dinner, feel like death...............seriously just whapping the walls with a bit of emulsion never took it out of me so much. OH came home this evening and said "how much does a decorator charge??" Need to train up ladders more!!.................

jill the potter
To be fair, Plum he did mean it in a good way. We have so much decorating we want to do over the coming year that he wants to get someone in to do it to save me the effort, but he last time we got someone in I swear a chimp with a blindfold could have done it better!!!!
