Chucky Mama
Great news Space Chick. What a relief that you used Paypal. I wonder what has gone wrong with this company. What a shame as a previously good reputation has been seriously damaged.
SteveC
Really pleased that everyone seems to have been sorted out!
feleena4
Don't mention 'chirpy coops' to me! I placed an order on January 6th for a 12x6x6 WIR. I found this company after looking on ebay, payed through paypal (luckily) and the money was taken, £315. Initially everything seemed ok. I received an email asking which colour would I like the WIR, then another asking which side would I like the door, and then a delivery date. The day before my first delivery date, January 25th, I had an email stating that 'Andrew has had a serious accident and was in hospital'. Another delivery date of 'before Feb 11th' was given. I sent my get well wishes and sat patiently waiting........... Several days after my 2nd delivery date passed I sent 2 emails asking if there was a problem.....no reply. I smelt a rat I googled the website and sellers name and found an article about a fire in November 2010 which destroyed everything, all his stock, tools and some chickens. Despite telling the newspaper that he hadn't any money to rebuild his business he still managed to take my £315 on January 16th 2011!!!! I immediately contacted ebay who opened a case and gave him 10 days to contact me, which he didn't. I tried to ring the number on the website but it was not recognised. After 10 days ebay escalated my case and gave me a full refund...thankyou paypal. He is not selling on ebay at the moment but the website was still up and running last week.............................................................................................................................................SO BUYER BEWARE.....CHIRPY COOPS ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED! Patricia W
The website is still there - with special offers so I wonder how many people there are who didn't pay through paypal? Such a shame to see a good firm go down.

pips_pekins
So sorry to hear about the problems others are having. I was also going to order from CC but after having to delay my plans by a few weeks I found this thread. Thank you for taking the time to warn others. I have now placed order with Bay Animal Housing although still to arrange delivery.
Chucky Mama
Neither of their phone numbers connect, it's not looking at all good.
Redwing
Thats a real shame. I have had two runs from them this year and all went very well, the service was good and the product is excellent so i didnt hesitate to recommend them to Space Chick
chuckmum6
I am glad to hear that people hear got their money back, it is a poor way of treating customers. What I find inexcusable is that they are still taking peoples money when they can't fulfil the order, that is fraud in my book and very shoddy to say the least. I too like many others had considered using them, a lucky escape for me. They need shutting down I'm afraid.
SteveC
Spacechick: You must let everyone know where you get your alternative run from - and give us a picture! I've ordered through Aviaries 4 You - hopefully to be delivered and erected next week!
SteveC
Incidentally, I've just checked, and the Chirpy Coops website appears to have been taken down now.
Gruntfuttock
Just to let everyone know that I have now had my run from Aviaries4U installed and I LOVE it!! They were efficient, quick and very easy to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I did ask whether they knew anything about CC and they said they hadn't heard anything. They were either just being very professional or they genuinely really didn't know?! I told them to expect more requests for runs soon! Good luck with your runs everyone! Space Chick
I got it through Bay Animal Housing... I have had a few hiccups, however, my very handy handyman is finishing the building tomorrow, so hopefully I can post some pics on the weekend
SteveC
I too have had my run delivered (and erected) by Aviaries 4 You . Despite being outside their normal delivery area, Lewis was with us early in the morning and done by 10.30am. Great job, great product (12x6 enclosure), great service. AND we've now got 4 chooks to go with the run as well! Not the cheapest, but definitely a case of 'You get what you pay for'. Highly recommended! SteveC
Yup, got some pictures of the new WIR and the new chooks, and the first egg! Once I get a few minutes to work out how to do it, I'll post some pictures!
migsy
Space Chick - Did you take any photos? I want to get another WIR (I left the old one at my last house). I got my last one from Bay and I'm thinking from ordering from them again. They supplied a good one last time and they seem to have expanded a lot since then. I'm hoping they are still as good. Are you happy with yours?
