Thought I'd finally introduce you to....

Recommended Posts

My beautiful Papillon, Copper. We've had him since 10 months old and he is now coming up 7. We rescued him from a breeder near Portsmouth who wanted to show him but he grew too tall and she didn't want him anymore so kind of forgot about him. When we got him he had never been socialised or trained in any way and was fearful of EVERYTHING. It took patience but he is much better now, but he is still very timid of new people. I guess you can only reverse bad socialisation to a certain extent. He is a wonderful entertaining little chap and he is also very intelligent :)

Has anyone else got Papillons? They seem to be very rare and not very well known as people always come up to me and try and guess the breed - always Long-Haired Chihuahua or Pom (though someone once asked me if he was a lab!!!!! ). They really are lovely little dogs :)
