Ain't Nobody Here
Higher English for YS this morning . Omleteers may remember my anguished postings about ES 2 years ago (who managed to fail his English and had to resit the next year ). I'm trying not to get in a state as ES is now at Uni and managing perfectly fine . I am struck by ES's lack of vocabulary though. He just won't read books (apart from the occasional factual book) and it really shows . Apparently none of his friends read - so that's OK then . Ain't Nobody Here
Thanks, Clootie . He thinks it was OK but it's so hard to tell with English . Much easier to revise for Geography, Chemistry and Biology . I've made up a timetable for him and he's doing lots of practice questions so fingers crossed . Purplemaniacs
Good luck to all taking exams at the moment (and to their families ). It is such a stressful time, I have searched for OU courses without exams, at ** years of age I can not face taking another exam. Ain't Nobody Here
Whew, last exam yesterday . He thinks Biology was "good" and feels ok about Geography and Chemistry too. We did do a lot of work together and he knew his stuff, so I'm positive he's passed them all, it's just whether he can get the 4 Bs he needs for his degree choice. What a relief it is, I feel like I've finished my own exams . Results on 4th August, the day before my birthday - let's hope it's a nice birthday present . sparkysmum
Anthony has Art this afternoon & Jonathan has Computing tomorrow. It's been such a trial for me but not J&A more like an inconvenient interruption in their routine. You know the one. Sleep.............eat..............games..............sleep.....eat ..............play. I just wish they'd take it a bit more seriously. Ain't Nobody Here
Good luck to them both . YS has taken the whole thing much more seriously than ES, thankfully! Of course, now he's asking if he can get the computer we promised him if he got 4 Bs . Like, now .
