Henergy
I've had a mole on my back removed just now - by my chicken !!! It's been another wet day today but it started to dry up just now so I went out to sweep up poo in the free range area and poo pick in the house. Anyway, I bent over to reach in and then felt a sharp peck on my back. I didn't think anything of it so carried on and then she pecked again. At that point my son said he thought daddy should take a look at my back. My mole has gone but its now stopped bleeding - I've wiped it with antiseptic & had a shower - so hopefully it'll be ok ! I'm in shock I think

KimmyCustard
I'm very moley and one of the girls had a peck at my more "juicer" looking ones the other day, it's on my arm. Luckily, she didnt peck it off, must have thought it was a chocolate button. Hope your back is OK Henergy?? x

beach chick
can I just suggest caution? I have had 2 malignant melanomas, 25 years apart... if you have any moles you are worried about, please please get them checked out. dont necessarily wait for them to look like the ones they show in the photos as suspicious, or think that they dont fit the guidelines they give for needing checking out. neither of mine matched the 'cancer' criteria - which is easy to find by googling. PLEASE get your moles checked out! here endeth the sermon...

Henergy
It's a bit sore tonight - covered with savlon & a plaster now. Do you think a tetanus is necessary ?
Plum
I think a tetanus jab lasts for life now, they used to say every 10 years.
Alis girls
In theory it does if you've had 5 - 3 as a baby, 1 as a preschooler and 1 as a teen but - if you have a tetanus prone wound that is an open wound best to get advice. Dont know how old you are so get advice from your practice nurse or GP. Here endeth another lesson. I had an extra shot last yr as i caught my thumb on a nail in the shed - am pushing 50 and also garden a lot so decided I wanted a booster. It comes with polio and diptheria now and your cover for them may have run out and are often advised for travel. Sorry just realiesed rambled on - fraid I have my nursing hat on
LolaLayla
I had to get a tetanus booster when I was bitten by a cat a few years ago (I was 50). Hope it heals up ok.
