A level results & going to Uni

Recommended Posts

My daughter got 3 A's and a B in her AS's and most of her English group are getting one of their papers remarked because most people are a couple of grades below the expected, she got A's in all but one element in which she got a C so it came to a B overall.

We have 1 GCSE result to come next week for DS and then next year we have the double wammy of A2's and GCSE's

Well done to those who have got what they wanted and don't despair to those who haven't it looks like if you fight for whatyou want you may still get there, fingers crossed.

I got into Birmingham to do Biology with industrial Placement, (Needed AAB).

I got an A* in Maths, A in Biology, B in Physics and an A* for my Extended Project!

I am so pleased and very relieved that the wait is all over now and I can start preparations! I'm a little worried about a couple of friends though, as one missed her offer by a grade, the other one I haven't yet heard from...Rather ominous in my view.

We gave up on track this morning and went on to Reading Uni's site. The boy has done good...he is in!! Phew!

Brill - send him around for a cuppa!

Seriously,if he needs tips on the town or anything, employment opportunities...just ask :D

Awwh thank you Cinnamon, that's really kind...... he will be picking your brains on employment opps I am sure!

Many congratulations to Devon too, (an A* how wonderful! ) and of course to Mum and Dad too , for a job well done :clap:

Well done one and all! Great grades Liz, you must be thrilled! Fred, I am sure you will love wherever you go!

My godson got an A*, A and a B but needed 2 A*'s and a B for his first choice (Exeter). Its such a shame when they do SO well, but are still disappointed! He is having his economics remarked as he was only 3 marks short of the elusive A*, but if all else fails, he is off to Reading too. Sarah, you might have a queue on your doorstep!

I am pleased, but am less than pleased with Birmingham at the minute as the accommodation I've been allocated is £900 more than I was budgeting for...

Where are they putting you? Mason? Tennis Courts were the best value by far.

They want to put me at The Beeches, which isn't even owned by the university and is private. Hence I'm unimpressed. I have phoned them and I either have 7 days from actually getting the offer or they are seeing if anyone cancels. Either way my budget is scuppered.
