Omletina Kyckling
I've bought an iPad!! Been wanting one for ages since I saw Spacechicks! I noticed PC World had the old models at amazing prices. I've got a new 64g 3G model for £399! That's the same as a mk2 16g with no 3G. For what I want it for I don't need the newer model. I've read the cameras aren't that good and my Nokia mobile is 12 megapixel anyway. The new one is bit thinner and 100g lighter with a new processor but think this one is easily good enough! I'm thrilled with it so far!
snowberry
I've got a Motorola Zoom & love playing with it. Do Omlet have apps on the App or Android stores?

Gertie
They are great...especially for looking at forums and shoppinn!. I think the downside seems to be that anything requiring flash player does not work. Im not very IT savvy. Does anyone know if you can/how to get flash player on an Ipad? Thanks

Thanks No you can't get flash on an iPad, but you can on the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tab. I really wanted to buy one, but they are so very expensive
chicken bark
We recently got an iPad2. It is the best bit of kit ever. So sleek. I never saw the point in them but it certainly has had a lot of use so far.

Thanks Apple and Adobe (who make flash) dont get on with each other, so you cant get flash on it, which is why I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab. chuckmum6
I loooooove my iPad, got it for Christmas and it is totally brilliant! Apple is great, my iMac links up with my iPad and I can do work on both. I may up grade when the iPad 3 comes out as it will have the new OS 5, but we will see I think I will need a spell on eBay selling first though. Geoid
A new one is coming out (it might already be out!) so the first generation ones should drop in price.

Yes I think that would be the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tab. It's in competition with the iPad and many say it's actually better because it supports Flash I know there are 2 models, one has a better camera and I think that's the one that Vodaphone are bringing out which will have 3G on it too. Geoid
The first generation galaxy tab (not the 10.1) has 3g and HSDPA as standard. It also supports flash too, I think its much better than the ipad, and since it is half the size, so it is easier to carry around.
LisaP
I don't find not having flash a problem. So many people have iPhones and iPads now that most companies are adapting to accommodate them and many have apps too. My iPad has completely replaced my old Mac laptop, I can print from it too. We were away at the weekend and I took it with me, intending to read a bit more of a book I have on it but it ended up keeping our 2 youngest sons occupied with games Lisa P
Mercedes55
For some people, myself included, I really need something that supports Flash. I am a great Apple fan and have an iPod Touch, a MacBook and an iMac. The MacBook and iMac both support Flash so that's fine. I run a chatroom that uses Flash so without it I'm stuffed. Also you need Flash if you want to play any of the facebook games too, least I think you do.
Clash City Rocker
I've had an Ipad2 since June - Ace. If you're a Sky subscriber then get the "Skygo" app, and then you can watch sky TV where ever you go. Recently I've been watching test match cricket on sky sports between appointments at work. Mercedes55
We don't have Sky, but we do have VM and they have an android app. It's very handy if we are out and have forgotten to record something. Think the app only works with the Tivo box though.
chuckmum6
Just read about the death of HP Touchpad, which lost out in the OS race, there has been a big scramble to buy the last stock for £89 16gb and £105 for 32 gb . I believe they were £350+ before the big sell off. They'd only just come out a few weeks ago.
Geoid
That could be due to HP announcing they are no longer making hardware, just software
