hillfamily Posted June 12, 2007 Share Posted June 12, 2007 The Builders have left Only here a little longer than planned and only a couple of unforseen problems...............found the footings for the old boundary wall that no size of pneumatic drill was going to get through. Some very strange eggs the following few days........must have been the effect of the vibrations from the drilling. And rather worryingly a gas leak somewhere in the pipework that no one could find so instead of digging up all the concrete floors all throughout downstairs we had to have a complete new pipework system installed for the gas. Didn't take too long and we all safe now The last of 5 skips have just gone Budget took a bit of a hammering Can't find the rest of the house I know it's there somewhere under the chaos that's left (may have to get skip No 6 ) I'm completely shattered ....................but the kitchen and conservatory look WONDERFUL The gates and fence and new plant borders at the front have been much admired and the extra space gained in the back garden has been put to good use. The thing is that now the parts of the house that have been done look so fab I want to get on revamp the rest of the house............................just need some energy and funds I've really missed not popping on here to chat.............but I've managed to clear a space and set up the computer..............I'm in the corner behind the boxes..................ignoring the chaos I have some other chicken related news but I shall put that in a separate post.................................
