meezers
Just been out to say good morning to the chooks and found Doris Dorking dead on the floor of the coop. She went to bed happy and healthy last night and laid yesterday, so not egg bound, looks like it may have been a heart attack. Maybe a coincidence , but a few months ago I lost my Auracana in the same way- both birds came from Wernlas, I'd had the Auracana less than a year, anyone else had Wernlas birds drop dead for no apparent reason ? Mercedes55
Oh I am sorry to hear about your little girl, that is no age at all is it. I've only heard very good things about the hens from Wernias, but to lose 2 from the same place at such a young age does make you wonder, but could just be a coincidence too I guess. Sandychick
That is very sad I lost my sussex this year in a similar way (2 years old), it is such a shock when it is so sudden- I think some hens just have short lives and you have been very unlucky. So sorry
JanTheDiver
Very sad, I lost my Bluebelle the same way two months ago. I guessed it was just a heart attack as she was quite a big bird
