Claret, you didn't have to send it again! Once was enough!

We seem to have had 4 storms now in the last 3 hours. My patio is inches deep in water, my herb garden is flooded and I can't get to the chickens. :(

I'm very tempted to put on The Sound of Music and sing a few of my favourite things!

It was raining on and off all morning but brightened up at lunch time, so I went off to Tesco during my lunch break. Whilst there I saw torrential, horizontal rain through the windows  which had cleared up by the time I left, thank goodness, but I had to paddle back to work as everywhere was flooded :roll:

No thunder or lightning though!

Well it's good to see one familiar thread still here - I go away for 2 weeks and this thread is still going strong!!

All I can say is that my two weeks in Brittany were only marginally less wet than yours in the UK! Except we were in a tent. When we got to the campsite it was chucking down so we spent the first few days in a mobile home. Pitched the tent on a glorious, sunny day. Then the rain started in earnest. After 3 days sat huddled in a tent that had started to leak we gave up and moved into a vacant gite. Spent the last week of the hols reading novels infront of a roaring log fire. Not quite what I had in mind for our summer holiday!:lol::lol:
