Guest
Claret, you didn't have to send it again! Once was enough! We seem to have had 4 storms now in the last 3 hours. My patio is inches deep in water, my herb garden is flooded and I can't get to the chickens. I'm very tempted to put on The Sound of Music and sing a few of my favourite things! starboyhull
I find lightning fasinating, usually sit under the gazeebo and watch it.......The lady who lives next door to my Grandma was in her house the other day as shes is terrified of it......... Lesley
We've had storms as well - thunder, lightning and hail. I've got a herb garden full of herbs but used dried herbs in the dinner as I was soaked just collecting eggs and wasn't going to stop for herbs. Charlottechicken
It was raining on and off all morning but brightened up at lunch time, so I went off to Tesco during my lunch break. Whilst there I saw torrential, horizontal rain through the windows which had cleared up by the time I left, thank goodness, but I had to paddle back to work as everywhere was flooded No thunder or lightning though! Snowy
Well it's good to see one familiar thread still here - I go away for 2 weeks and this thread is still going strong!! All I can say is that my two weeks in Brittany were only marginally less wet than yours in the UK! Except we were in a tent. When we got to the campsite it was chucking down so we spent the first few days in a mobile home. Pitched the tent on a glorious, sunny day. Then the rain started in earnest. After 3 days sat huddled in a tent that had started to leak we gave up and moved into a vacant gite. Spent the last week of the hols reading novels infront of a roaring log fire. Not quite what I had in mind for our summer holiday!
starboyhull
Did you have a good time all the same??? Even Marginally less rain is something lol
Snowy
Thanks, we had a great time - we stayed on a farm and were able to muck in with the animals (literally!). Will post about it seperately when I've got round to uploading the pics!
