Couperman
I am pleased to report the sun is actually shining down here at last, after about four days of solid rain, no fun when you need a new roof. I really feel for those flooded out in Sheffield and the Midlands that must be so soul destroying. Hope they all get back to normal soon. Kev. susanbb
I know the feeling. I don't need to fill up the paddling pool as the weather has done it for me Susan
marky mark
Its certainly nice to have some sunshine! It rained pretty much solidly from Thursday to Saturday here!
Egluntyne
Yep....I've done 3 hours pottering in the garden here in sunny Sheffield. A lot of it was clearing away the mud! Am exhausted. Managed to drag Him Indoors to the garden centre at Calver Sough, where we bumped into some old friends which was nice.
Lesley
Still very wet around here. The riverside cafes in Stratford were under water on Saturday morning - Louise, where we sat last summer was under 2' of water! Hopefully, my grass seed will start growing, if it hasn't all been washed away
Louise
Blimey Tweed is looking quite high at the moment but still within its banks but I have had no where near as much rain as you guys
Lesley
The Eggman from the Farmers' Market has around 3500 hens - or at least, he did until Friday. He lost 2500 in the flooding
Egluntyne
Oh my word....how awful!
chocchick
Not sunny as such but I got sunburnt walking in the peaks on Sunday and we had a barbeque on Saturday. Relatively dry here. Does this mean the Cotswolds is a bad place to go walking and camping this Wed-Fri?
bronze
I still keeps raining here on and off I am pleased to report the sun is actually shining down here at last, after about four days of solid rain, no fun when you need a new roof. Kev. and we havent even had out quote for our roof. My uitilty room is chaos as OH has nicked all the plastic drawers and everything else thats watertight to catch drips in the attic. Much sympathy
The Dogmother
We seem to have escaped the worst of the flooding in Banbury. As Lesley has said, Stratford was rather wet on Saturday morning. The Cherwell is up to the back door of the sports centre, but not going in yet. In 1998 a lot of Banbury was flooded when we had those bad storms; the sports centre was closed for 6 months.
