dancing cloud
Last night, talking to sister-in-law on the phone, I could hear thump ... thump ... on the conservatory roof. Heading into the bedroom where I could get a view of the roof to see what was going on, I saw Loki-cat's face appear at the window and two paws scrabble at it before he disappeared again. He must have done this about eight or nine times and still hadn't understood the window was shut ! I had to open it and let him in, or he'd probably still be bouncing on the roof . It did make me laugh though. It's a good job he's gorgeous, cos he's certainly not clever Anyone else got a pet that's just a little daft? I know I can't be the only person with furry or feathery that wasn't at the front of the queue when brains were handed out !
mollyripkim
Oh bless him, isn't it lovely to have animals to make us laugh. Loki is a lovely name too. My Pebbles, cocker spaniel, unfortunately is as thick as they come but also such a sweetheart. We have had a glass dining table for three years now yet she still jumps up underneath and bangs her head. Then come time for last wee at night she insists on looking in the pond then jumping out of her skin when the koi come up, she does it every night and always looks as surprised as ever! Tiggy
my old cat Smudge used to kill and eat pigeons one day had one in her mouth and tried to push it sideways through the cat flap, then backed in and tried to pull it through Tiggy cat sat watching her antics and eventually took it away from her. Smudgies head appeared out of the cat flap with a look of confusion, ' where did it go?'
The Dogmother
I have a red lurcher - he is not blessed with brains - far too many daft escapades to mention, including jumping out of his bed, then being scared by his blanket which was still attached to his back Rosie says that he has an excess of ginger genes - apologies to any redheads on here. Good job that he's gorgeous and lovable.
dancing cloud
So glad I'm not the only one! My Puddy-cat's clever, but can be sulky and a mean hissy-spit. Loki's a big gorgeous softy, who looks at me like I'm the centre of his universe - brains aren't everything !
Alis girls
We too are cursed with a stupid moggie - shes lovely - does a cartoon run on wooden floor and used to reverse thro cat flap. My OH says if you tap her head its hollow.
Omletina Kyckling
Not sure any of mine are intelligent.....I tell them they were right at the front of the queue when looks were given out but must have been chasing laser pens and distracted when the brains were being gived out!! Griffin
Rory kitten is currently wandering around the house with a piece of potato peeling hanging out his mouth That just about sums up his level of intelligence. I do hope his brains grow as he does.
Chucky Mama
We have friends who have a mentally challenged cat who frequently wanders the house with bits of metal work hanging from his magnetic cat flap collar
The Dogmother
We have friends who have a mentally challenged cat who frequently wanders the house with bits of metal work hanging from his magnetic cat flap collar Ours are always doing that. The soil here is very red due to the amount of iron ore in it; they also get lots of clinker on their magnets.

The Dogmother
My Ginger Whinger has been play bowing to his rawhide chew and dancing around it
Seagazer
Toby (definitely not the brightest of cats) was on the top tier of a 3 tier cat tree thingy, when he just decided he'd walk off, obviously forgetting about the height he landed with a thump and was luckily not hurt. Yesterday both of the kittens rushed in from outside and tried to get through the cat flap together - it was hilarious but completely freaked the pair of them out. dancing cloud
Made me laugh too! Loki daft-cat seems to think lying on his side on one stair waving his paws above the next stair will get Puddy to play with him . He's been with us over five years and she's never played with him yet . Points for trying, I suppose ...
Mum
I have two ragdoll cats - both brothers. One, is refined, sophisticated, genteel, fine boned, perfect markings ... and a real babykins! He even massages my face whilst lying on his back in my arms The other is, thicker set, rough and ready but a real country bumpkin! When he craves attention from anyone - he headbutts their feet!! REPEATEDLY!!!! And if that doesn't get your attention ... he will lay right in your path so you stand on him!! Then he'll give you those gorgeous blue-eyed "you hurt me!" look and you melt and cave in to his needs. Clearly he was at the back of the queue when brains were being handed out; equally clearly he was at the front of the next queue when brawn was being distributed! He has a head as hard as nails and a mentality to match I adore them both
Space Chick
The more we get to know our rescue cats the more we can see that Harry is completely stupid..... He's fallen off the sofa today, fallen off the table in his excitement to get a toy spider and has scared himself by seeing his reflection in the fridge Sabrina on the other hand is very clever, and is loving nothing more than hiding and then jumping out on her son.... Bless poor Harry, he's obviously got his Dads brains

He's fallen off the sofa today, fallen off the table in his excitement to get a toy spider and has scared himself by seeing his reflection in the fridge He's probably not had that much fun in ages ! All of mine are either garden foundlings or rescue cats and it's always good to see their characters develop. I was told that, with adult rescues, what you see is what you get, but Cleo was clingy and cuddly initially and now she's cheeky and full of mischief (and cuddly)! Harry and Sabrina sound like they're enjoying their new home, with all that attention and love for them, and it'll be great to see them grow into themselves
Space Chick
That is so true Dancing Cloud At the rescue Sabrina was very aloof and nervy and we were told she wasn't the friendliest of cats, but I think she was just being clever and cautious.... Shes now a very vocal girl and is so affectionate, she just needed to feel secure to let her personality out
