freddie
I got 1.5 kg carrots for 19p in Waitrose today, does that count I Hate sales, there was nothing I wanted before, so why would I want it now, unless its some hens, as I still have none, since the ferret incident
Ms Marple
Just thought I'd update - the goodwill gesture was a giftcard with £30 to spend!!! They can forget to take the security tag out again
chickencam
You need wonder web Liz, both of the trousers I bought today will need to be shortened... But I'll do that with wonder web Would it work on jeans? They are boot cut so I was wondering if they will look an odd shape at the bottom. One pair were only £5 from Asda I suppose I could experiment on those I need to take them up about 1.5 inches.
Space Chick
I don't know Liz, but worth a try
docsquid
No sales shopping here. It sounds like that was a good move as the local shopping centre has been gridlocked today Eventually we want to buy a new three piece suite as we have just painted the living room (although this is the first time in about 15 years that it has been done!). But really would prefer to pay a little more and avoid the crowds. In any case, furniture stores have sales all year round, so better avoid the Christmas sales and shop in more peace! Cinnamon
I like to shop, but I loath & detest the sales - too many people, too much rubbish! That said I did go to la Senza & get a pair of jammies for my daughter for NEXT Christmas, down to £8 from £
abwsco
DH and eldest DD have been into the shops this morning. Said it wasn't too bad but apart from the furniture store I still haven't set foot in a shop. Oh, and the local furniture store we always go to puts his new ranges in the sale. Think we're going to go back and order one of the chairs as well.
ubereglu
I bought a pair of Vidal Sassoon Gold hair straighteners from Boots for £2.76, as I had a £10 Boots voucher. No idea why those ones were so cheap as the ones which are identical to those in platinum are £61.99 still.
lillybettybabs
I shop on line and got a few bits of underwear from Bravissimo and a Picture frame from J L. I did brave it in Banbury as i needed to get my glasses altered, I got a bag from a little shop up one of the side streets the rest of the shops seem to have brought out a load of tat especially for the sales. I'm looking for good offers on Aga saucepans and the mincer attachment for Kitchen aid.
The Dogmother
Try looking in T K Maxx for the saucepans - I got some le Creuset from there a while ago.
ali-s
Bought a half price calendar for work today. I was torn between Donkeys or Cows the Cow one won
Purplemaniacs
I'm looking for good offers on Aga saucepans and the mincer attachment for Kitchen aid. I have the casserole version of these as I wanted ones without long handles, I have had mine for 7 years and they are like new, other than OH snapped off a lid handle when he was drying up one day I think it was to make sure he wasn't asked to dry up again The other three are fine. They are doing three for two at the moment http://www.agacookshop.co.uk/cookware/saucepans/stainless-steel-saucepans.html I have found that although they are quite expensive it is money well spent. Griffin
I loathe shopping but had no choice but to wander around the shops in Didcot this afternoon while my car was in for it's MOT. I actually enjoyed it I bought some half price Yankee candles, some chickeny decorations that were reduced to £2, a Vampire Diaries calender for £2 (every month in 2012 will be October as far as I'm concerned!) and a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle of Holbeins portrait on King Henry VIII Hows that for random? squiffs
I bought a bunch of clothes in new look reduced (t-shirts, jeggings, a hoodie, some jeans, every day sort of stuff I can wear any time, so a definite load of bargains). I bought a bunch of things 'reduced' on lakeland's website. I was too late to snaffle any of the things I wanted in paperchase (had to wait for pay day ) I was planning to buy some snow fairy from lush as they sell it half price after xmas, but OH bought me a 500ml bottle for xmas and my 350ml is still going from last boxing day sales! Shirl
I have bought loads in the online sales. I spent over £200 in the Boots half price sale. Mind you if there's anything left I might have look in the 75% off sale too. I should have enough for pressies for most relatives for next year's Christmas. I bought some nice clothes for me and DDs in Joules. I bought books from the Book People, Toys from Hawkin's Bazaar. Trousers for the OH in the Next sale. Toothpaste and shampoo in the Green People sale. I have spent a fortune but we are sorted for presents for a while.
Charlottechicken
Sounds like some of you have had some great bargains! I've only ventured into the shops once since Christmas, and was tempted by three lovely tops in BHS, their Vanilla Sands range is really nice! Got the lot for £19.40 but didn't pay a bean as I had some love to shop (ironic!!) vouchers! That's it for me, I'm looking for storage stuff and bathroom furniture now but will wait for the normal prices to return when I'm more likely to get free delivery online, and decent money off things I want to buy!
