Quick February swap - Inchies

Recommended Posts

A word of caution.......I posted two Inchies in a tiny jiffy bag and an 'Inchie card' in an envelope and the embellishments meant they were too thick to go as letters. Only very slightly too thick but they cost me 75p each to post. I think flat Inchies should be OK as letter post.

An even bigger word of caution!!!! I am soooo out of my depth here :(

I can knit , sew a bit, make jam and cook but have always avoided crafty stuff like the plague. I though it was because I am an only child and then that my children and OH were rough, tough outdoor and rugby types.

:roll: How wrong could I be?? I am just not that careful or tidy or crafty (well not in this sense of the word)

I now publically apologise to the two unfortunates who may receive my truly sad offerings. I was inspired when I went looking on the web.....I even went for a look in Hobbycraft :roll: There is a first time for everything.

Anyway, I will send my pathetic attempts (be gentle dear reader).

I am now off to look for some local classes as I hate not be able to do something.

Mine are now in the post :anxious:

I can honestly say I've never worried so much about so little in all my life.

It has been an interesting challenge (thanks Lesley for the idea and for organisisng it all) but I think I'm better suited to *ahem* larger projects.

So to whoever gets my offerings, please be gentle

Posted! Forgot to get proof of posting though so I hope they get where they are meant to *gulp*

I enjoyed making mine. The original ideas I had didn't work, but I am pleased with what I came up with. I just hope my recipients are :anxious: They were much harder to do that I thought they would be, but I will make some again. For me, or for Crimbo cards (gets thinking hat on)

Thank you for suggesting and organising this Lesley :D

Thank you :) - the organising was the easy part though

I've posted mine as well - hope they all arrive about the same time, I can't wait to see what everyone gets. It isn't a secret swap so we can all chat about it if you want to.

I can't stop making them now but I've been using some to make birthday cards and gift tags. I want to frame a set as well, using the ones I recieve in the swap. My camera battery is charging ready to take photos..........

Mine are far from perfect, but I had immense fun doing them, and somehow I am more inspired to be creative with tiny things like this - and they are so quick to do too! I think I will be making more of these, as they would be lovely gift tags for Christmas or birthday presents or similar.

Very interested to see what other people have, i am keeping mine secret :silenced: and hope the recipients will appreciate the sentiment behind them and not be too picky about rather clumsy stitches!
