Seagazer
They have discovered the egg skelter over the last few days and every time they are left alone, into the kitchen they go to play. I have lost 8 eggs over the last 2 days I've even had to buy these eggs as the girlies have just had a moult and I'm now worming them so can't eat the eggs. I think the egg skelter will have to live on the top of the fridge/freezer. My DD has decided that they are testing our limits at the moment as they have become slightly naughty......they're still soooooo cute though. BizzyMomma
Also have 2 young kittens, who REFUSE to go in the kitchen as the dogs live in there, so my egg skelter is safe...well for now anyway as they are getting braver every day
Seagazer
Space Chick you have my sympathy too!! Pesky cats We Wouldn't change them though, would we! Not at all. I love my pesky kitties too much. I think they have me twisted around their little white paws!
Goosey Lucy
Same problem here, I lost a nearly full egg skelter, I finally realised Jade was knocking them off one at a time. My skelter is now in a cupboard and as I'm having to buy eggs they stay in the box until needed. But like you I wouldn't be without either of my two
lillybettybabs
I was going to buy one of those! Foggy is going through his teenage stage so maybe I'll wait. He has found the pleasure of toilet roll unraveling and hiding my lip-salves!
Seagazer
Lillybettybabs I've had my eggskelter for about 3 years and I never had any problem with my older cat Sophie, or Dave who was a young cat. Its just these two terrorists that have been the whirlwinds in the house

Seagazer
freddie - everyone's always impressed with the egg skelter when they see it. I'm sure they'll grow out of playing with the eggs, at least I hope so!
Seagazer
Just thought freddie, perhaps you could diversify into pet toys

Alis girls
have we seen photos and do they eat the eggs?
Seagazer
I'm always willing to put photos on of the kitties (I have sooooo many on my phone) I think they've been eating some of the eggs although it could well be Cookie clearing up the mess for me. Ginger one is Toby and tortie is Lottie, formerly known as Princess Lottie although her crown has slipped a bit of late.....
Space Chick
They are gorgeous Seagazer, quite adorable darlings As for kitten phase... My two are two and three, but are still VERY playful, and are still testing boundaries We've had them 7 weeks now and I love them to bits, but we are having teething problems Thomas our dearly departed cat knew not to jump on work tops, these two haven't learnt that yet... In fact whilst eating tea just now Sabrina jumped up on the dining table and stuck her nose in the red currant jelly Freddie - I agree, maybe cat toys could be a new business venture
Seagazer
Thank you Space Chick, they are adorable and I can forgive them anything. I am putty in their paws They are only 7 months old though so I've obviously got a long way to go until they calm down. At least they haven't started bringing me presents into the house yet. Dave had already started leaving me dead or alive mice in the house by their age. I've probably spoken too soon now and need to touch wood. Alis girls
Oh they are adorable - I wont let OH see ginger one he has a fetish for gingers and any ginger cat is not safe as he will pick them up if given half the chance. Seagazer
Thanks Alis girls, they are scrummy and Toby is our first ginger cat and although he's dim, he's a lovely boy
Seagazer
Well I heard a crash last night, went into the kitchen and Lottie had knocked a couple of eggs out of the EGG BOX! I've been keeping my eggs in the box from the shop, I had a 97g egg from one of my girlies so the top wasn't down properly. She was happily lapping away at the egg and look up at me with such an innocent look in her eyes. Its like she's totally obsessed with eggs now - she's actually bitten some of the box off trying to get into the eggs. Top of the fridge/freezer now I think
