BeckyBoo
My husband, who is a bit gung-ho, and likes to drive thru fords and the like in his Toyota "go anywhere, do anything" hi-lux van, which incidentally I might add is a works vehicle in that it contains ALL his tools, gadgets, bits and pieces for his work as a self-employed kitchen fitter, yesterday drove thru a ford in Hurst Hampshire, and in fact towed another vehicle that couldn't get through. Today, not stopping to check wether or not the river Loddon had risen from all the rain, not thinking the rain water might have now all permeated it's way down through the fields and into the stream, he decided, once again, to drive across. And floated away merrily down stream! He had to climb out the window, swim across to the road and flag down a passing motorist. The water apparently was coming in through the windows, which is actually quite high.... Not only did he have to get towed out by a passing 4 x 4 he had to ring his mate who was playing golf to come and tow him home. He arrived home, opened the door, let copious amounts of water out, we listened to the electrics in the van fizzing and ticking, then he went upstairs to get out of his jeans and t-shirt which were wet up to his armpits. It's a shame there's not an emoticon on here for laughing so much your head falls off! If he thinks he's taking my car to work tomorrow he's got another think coming - mine will do big puddles but nothing more!!
