Mine was nearly finished ages ago....so I set it aside.....and almost forgot to finish it off! :shock:

 

I've just been to the village to post it and when I returned my postcard was on the mat!! - I'm very excited as I always seem to be the last to receive a swap :dance: I'm saving it to open tomorrow :D

I couldn't wait to open mine :oops:

It is the most exquisite appliqued/embroidered work of art!! It has a thrush and throstlings in a nest, I'll post a photo shortly.

 

It is absolutely beautiful - thank you to my swappee, you must have known that thrushes are my favourite garden birds.

I've just got home and my postcard was waiting for me....

It's beautiful felt postcard with 2 flowers on the front (all hand stitched in the neatest neat stitching!!) and a window in the back cut out for the paper with the message on. It's beautiful - I love the colours too (green, and 2 different pinks)

 

Thankyou to my lovely omleteer! :D

 

(I'll post a photo when I get back from my holiday - I'm afraid my camera is currently charging up ready for leaving at 5.00 am tomorrow :shock: , and it doesnt have enough charge to turn on yet... :( )

I didn't have time to take part in this swap, but looking at the picture above I am glad I didn't try ... don't think I could ever make something like that. What talented Omleteers there are out there.

 

I love the chicken 'stamp' - only just noticed that on taking a second look!

I am so lucky, I received a beautiful glass postcard of a cockerel amongst flowers - I will post a pic at the weekend. I absolutely LOVE it. Also a bonus card picturing a maran.

There are some beautiful cards so far. I was so thrilled when I received my glass card that I was tempted to do a triple somersault - well the gymnasts make it look so easy. But I thought I might do myself a teensy mischief so I contented myself with a bit of a Snoopy happy dance then a lie down to recover.

 

I took a look at my card again this morning and noticed how it glitters in the sunshine. I will have to display it somewhere sunny (not England then :( ). I would love to know how to make something like that. You are all so clever :clap:
