Threading

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had their eyebrows threaded & groomed, especially at a Shavata outlet?

I have always plucked ,but I saw an article about the difference a Shavata technician can make & it was really impressive.

The brows looked great: Sharp, precise, even & perfect.

Just wondering if I should stop plucking & give it a go,as they have an outlet very near to me

I've had threading done and it's good but a plucking by my beauty therapist has the same effect for me. She's recently gone on a threading course though as so many people are asking for it. Threading hurt me more than plucking.

the first time my eyes felt awfully sore for weeks later. so stuck to waxing but recently stopped at Brent X and had done and no problems at all. depends on expertise of person doing. I think the first time I had it done by an English woman and since done by an Asian girl - it is part of their culture and they are so much better at it - I think anyway.

I've had my brows threaded a couple of times and I cried like a baby both times. I regularly have waxing and electrolysis but this was so agonising that despite the fab results I just can't bring myself to ever do it again. Fortunately I'm fair so even when they're grown out my brows aren't too bad.

Our local Debenhams does this again in a very public area, right by the escalators, not my idea of fun. I react badly to any kind of hair removal, so my eyebrows are fluffy and proud, fortunately I am blond so they aren't too bad

I have had my legs waxed a couple of times and ended up with a terrible rash for weeks that has only cleared up in time for more hair growth, I stick to very gentle shaving.

Me too chickencam... that's exactly how I react

My eyebrows are quite fine anyway, so I can give them the occasional pluck.

I've often wondered if sugaring is more gentle on your skin but I'm too wary to give it a go!!
