Luvachicken
I can't believe that we went to M&S just a couple of weeks ago and they still had Summer stuff I took my daughter tonight to get some of the said Summer stuff and there was nothing, except a few odds and sods no-one wants. They have replaced everything with their Autumn and Winter stuff already. There were Winter gloves, scarves, glum clothes etc. Do they know something about our weather that we don't ?????????? I urge all of you to buy anything early before they get their Spring stuff in Not only that, I found a pair of sandals, obviously for the Summer, and were they in the sale - were they heck Edited July 30, 2012 by Guest
LolaLayla
I haven't seen inside many shops since the pup arrived but it is just as well I wasn't needing anything summery. I have found with M&S that they seem to have a really limited amount of stock. Even online they often don't have a lot of items

Reikiranf
I'm sorry but I just can't buy Autumn/winter clothes until we've had Summer It's saving me a fortune!
craftyhunnypie
Matalan had got all the hats scarves & gloves in & so had Next. We might well be enjoying the sunshine, but the weather is so unpredictable & freaky this year, anything could happen! Emma.x
snowberry
Next it'll be christmas stuff Don't the stores realise that it just angers us & makes us buy the products less? (well, me anyway!)
patsylabrador
I love Autumn clothes/winter clothes. All the colours and textures but think July is too early - that is until I woke up this morning and it looks and feels like Autumn.
Cinnamon
Next it'll be christmas stuff Don't the stores realise that it just angers us & makes us buy the products less? (well, me anyway!) We saw an ad for a Christmas events venue 3 weeks ago I am afraid that having the late summer/Autumn/Cruisewear lines in at the start of August is very normal. Not only that, but they will have already purchased next years spring lines too
Gertie
I saw hats & gloves etc a few weeks ago... I didn't realise it was the autumn range & thought it was for people who might be going on skiing holidays!! I expect their cutting their losses & storing the summer stuff for a potential future summer sometime!!!
Reikiranf
Perhaps if we all buy winter clothes the weather will change and we'll be unable to wear them for quite some time
Mercedes55
I get really frustrated with M&S. I've also noticed the lack of Summer clothing for women, yet in the store we go to they still had a lot of menswear for Summer, which made no sense. I used to be able to go and buy from the Petite sections in the shops, then they stopped selling them instore and only sold them online. That would be fine if they had a good selection of sizes online, but they don't. When you do find something you have to get it delivered to the store to save paying the p&p which means a lot of faffing around. The other day I went there armed with £40 of vouchers as I wanted to get an artificial orchid arrangement, but all the ones they had on their website weren't on in the store and you can't use the type of vouchers I have online, it's all such a PITA to be honest
Luvachicken
I think I'm going to give up on M&S myself. Personally I've had enough of all shops dictating when we can buy stuff. We should make a stand and stand united
Couperwife
My SIL asked me what I was doing at Christmas this year I said we have a few birthdays to get through first...oh, and summer, and halloween She was a bit surprised that I'd responded that was , but I hadn't even had my birthday and that's mid july Cathy X

WitchHazel
Just wanted to say thank you to Luvachicken for starting this thread. I really like M&S Footglove low-heeled boots. I needed a new pair recently and couldn't find any anywhere. Ecven Ebay wasn't able to help. I ended up wearing my spare pair, which are too high for my comfort, and was resigned to waiting until September or October to get new ones. Thanks to your thread I went into M&S in Reading (was visiting Bravissimo), and they had lots of boots in lots of sizes I bought two pairs. Happy feet. Thank you.
