I am looking for some flannelette sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers online. Anyone have any idea who has the best range at a reasonable price? I have seen a few things in the Damart catalogue, quite expensive though at about £50. My local market has a couple of stalls selling king size flat/fitted sets for £22, but only basic white/cream/pink/blue and I'm looking for stripes/checks/spots or just plain lilac/purples would do.

Try Woolworths.co.uk Flannelette duvet sets in spots and stripes and a floral one too. My local Home Bargains have flannelette sheets etc in at the moment in a variety of colours.

I have good experience with the Northern Nights range from QVC (wash/last well). Not especially cheap, but they bobble less quickly than others I've had. Can often pick them up on various special offers or in the sale section of the website

factory2u.co.uk have thermal flanelette sheets, i have just got some for my little bed and they are cosy as. not too expensive either.

Tesco had but not colours - think the fitted ones were about £15

Thank you for those suggestions, they all look good! I did have some flannelette sheets from Tesco earlier in the year at a good price too, although like you say, no colour choice!

 

Woolies and Factory2u look interesting, and I had never considered Northern Nights, but their stuff looks lovely, might have to splurge there

I'd check out the reviews on QVC before you buy NN as some get poor reviews for shedding.

Good point! I'd noticed how different items by the same brand can have wildly different reviews, sometimes the quality does not appear to be consistent

 

I have just bought a couple of sets of flannelette bedding off ebay from different traders, one of which I actually found on Google first, didn't occur to me that they might have a 'shop' on ebay I'll let you know what they are like when I get them. One is the old favourite candy stripe, and another is floral pillowcases and flat sheet with a plain fitted sheet, in lilac. Both sets were under £26 including p+p.

 

Now I'm looking for a nice flannelette duvet cover or two!

La Redoute do beautiful flannelette bedding, it is very thick and cosy. I bought loads the other year and use it for camping. Ooh ladies, you've got me started again (sometimes I wish I'd never got into chooks !!). I ordered a set of sheets off Factury2u last night and am so looking forward to cosy nights........... although having realised this morning that we've still got a 4.5 tog duvet on, it's no wonder I've been a little chilly

I received some flannelette pillowcases yesterday that I ordered on 1st November off ebay. I bought eight pillowcases, 4 cream and 4 lilac, for just over a tenner for the lot, including p+p. They are supersoft and fluffy!

Another vote for Northern nights here Can't beat the soft snuggly flannel in the winter & cool, silky smooth high threadcount cotton in the summer

Reminds of staying at grans house as a girl ( a few yrs ago!!!) - no central heating just an electric blanket and flanelette sheets - cosy. I have to say I thought they had gone out of fashion.

Flannel has never gone out of fashion i have bought them since my teens ( 19 anyway ) even my grandchildren have flannels on there beds in winter...they are so warm i have always sworn by them for warmth.

yes all the time - it varies (depending what shows they have coming up I suppose), so it's worth checking back often

Re bedding from QVC if you're near one of their outlet shops (Shrewsbury and Warrington) head there. They usually have loads of NN bedding very cheap. Some of it will be used returns but more often than not stuff hasn't even been opened..............

As far as I know, yes!

 

I've had my ebay bedding sets arrive. They were both market prices and about the same quality too so I am very pleased as they are both printed sets, and lovely and fluffy!
