daxigirl
Now with the National at Stoneleigh fast approaching I thought I would let anybody going know what traps my little ladies would be occupying so that you could come and say hello to them by name and me as I expect to be lurking anxiously near them (probably sporting some stray straw and poop about my person ). 350 will be Fraggle 490 & 491 will be the Awfuls (provided they finish moulting otherwise they'll be empty ) 2124 will be Champion, Evil Edna 3729 will be Mavis Cruet my painted eggs effort will be 6099 (rather a failure at blowing them so think I'll just paint some as they come )

daxigirl
Er don't know about advance tickets. Have a look at the Poultry Club of GB website they'll have info on there I'm sure. I'm sure you can get them on the door, I think my bits of paper said it opens at 10 to the public.

(it will probably make me glad Monty's not crowing at the mo!! ) I went last year and was a bit overwhelmed...especially as I had only just begun to keep my pekins and they were poorly at the time!!! Lewis
I'm looking forward to it! I'll be on the CC stand so come and say Hi to us. I've entered some eggs and photos - not sure whether to enter conventional nice photos or be different again. Last year I entered a photo of me in a chicken suit + Omlet tshirt into the "Single fowl" category ... hopefully made the judge smile and reminds everyone its fun and not uber competitive
daxigirl
So the results are in - Fraggle got a 2nd (only 2 in her class though) Evil E got a 4th (but lots of admiration as she's plain black apparently their hard to come by in a good shape). I got a 2nd for my Angry Birds painted eggs and 2nd for 3 Araucana eggs. Mavis & Awful were also rans. Haven't felt compelled to buy anybody else although I did rather like the pair of red Barbu D'Anvers.
mimi5
Well done you!!! Will you be there tomorrow?? Was it very busy? I'm hoping to attend one of the talks. Amazing not to be tempted...but good I suppose!!
zakjon-98
Well done! I went too and fell in love with the barbu d'uccles and call ducks. I also bought a victorian book on keeping chickens from the late 1800's. Will definitely go back next year
