The Dogmother
Personally, if you are going to buy some Hunters, I'd wait until they have 'Made in the UK' on the label I've just had a look on their site and couldn't see anything confirming that they are made in the UK at the moment. soapdragon
I have just bought a pair of willies from Lidl- they had red, blue and purple; they look like classic Hunters without any logo on. Havn't worn them yet so they may be a bad buy but I don't give them hard wear so I figured they must be worth a punt at £7.99! Should be fine for the school run! soapdragon
Sarah ,not sure if they still have these - I got mine about 2 weeks ago so may be worth checking if you are making a special journey tho there are always bargains to be had (lots of gardening stuff today)!! I popped in to the Oxford one this pm on the way back from Tesco and didn't spot any (but, then, wasn't looking as I'd got some!) They did have some green, fleecy lined ones but I didn't look at what sizes - looked cosy tho!
bluekarin
I don't think she was going there for wellies
Charlottechicken
Actually, Lidl wellies are OK, I have a pair with rose print all over them, don't wear them often though.

soapdragon
Digressing slightly (she says trying to draw attention away from her own spelling deficiencies ) Lidl have a good deal on plastic watches this week - various colours and 3 year guarantee; £5.99 for one or £10.00 for 2.I bought one for gardening/tiddling around the house/ holiday etc.

The Dogmother
Sorry, will off and bury my head in the sand! Sand is probably best - if you were in mud then your Hunters might leak!

TooLilac
I find wellies are far too cold so I got these a few winters ago as snow boots: http://www.rubbersole.co.uk/Timberland-EK-MOUNT-HOLLY-x102534.php I call them my outdoor slippers, as they are so warm and fleecy inside. Perfect for pottering about in my dressing gown to clean out the clucks! good grips on the bottom and v easy to slip on and off. I even wear them in the summer, after an unpleasant nail varnish pecking incident when I wore flipflops to clean out the run
The Dogmother
I love my neoprene muck boots for when it's really cold; they are very snug. Those look nice though.

soapdragon
I bought both boys snow boots (from........Lidl ) in the Autumn and they have worn them much more than I anticipated! As they are fleece lined they made perfect Winter wellies and I regretted not buying a pair for me! Will grab some next Winter! I generally buy wellies half a size too big anyway so that I can wear several pairs (or one thick woolly) socks. I had a pair of muck type boots a few years ago but the heel wore down really quickly which made me walk like a pirate! Can't remember where they were from tho
