soapdragon
Agree but hope I'm that fit at 86!
Chickendoodle
Thank goodness. Should have gone a couple of years ago and retired on a high rather than now when he is past his best before date
Lavenders_Blue
I am gutted to hear that. NOT

newcountrygirl
Thank goodness - he's done really well but the last series was a bit embarrassing. Wonder who will replace him?
The Dogmother
Thank goodness - he's done really well but the last series was a bit embarrassing. Agreed - it was wince-making last season.
Grandmashazzie
Agree, poor Brucie he put up a good fight.Hope I'm as good at his age. What about John Barrowman as replacement.?
Cinnamon
That's funny....I just came here to post the same! Whoever needs to have charm, humor & a background in dance. I would prefer a man. The Barrowman gets my vote!
Willow
I heard a radio interview with him just after he announced he was standing down where he referred to telling his co-presenter he was leaving as being like a boyfriend breaking up with his girlfriend and my stomach churned He clearly had no idea how creepy that sounded... chickencam
I'd like to see Tess & Claudia presenting it, they make a good double act, otherwise John Barrowman doesn't seem a bad choice.
Lavenders_Blue
Not sure about John Barrowman myself, but I'd be more than happy with a Tess and Claudia double act. I do like Claudia, she has a good sense of humour.
The Dogmother
Claudia is funny, but her peering out from under her hair, and terrible posture are a bit irritating.
Lavenders_Blue
Yes I agree her heavy fringe needs a jolly good chop but far preferable to Bruce's all-round cringyness!
Chickendoodle
Whoever they get needs to be someone who will actually let the judges speak without butting in with his/her own opinion every few seconds. Anton Du Beke has been mentioned in a few articles. Might be OK? He was actually very good on the cookery show he fronted a while back. John Barrowman would be pretty good as well I think as he is a song and dance man like Bruce. Might get a bit over excited though? Just had a look at one of the articles listing the favourites Graham Norton - I like him but he is maybe a bit over exposed at the moment Vernon Kay - No thanks Matt Baker - now there's an idea. Good presenter, took part in the show and doesn't tell jokes and seems genuinely nice Tess & Claudia combo - Tess doesn't have the personality to front the show for a whole series but Claudia could. Don't think Tess would be happy being usurped by Claudia I hope the producers take the opportunity to refresh the show rather than bring someone in like Terry Wogan or another "elder" presenter
Lavenders_Blue
Ooh, I hadn't considered Anton He might be okay, but I wonder if he might just be a younger version of Bruce?
The Dogmother
Surely he can't be as irritating......?
Lavenders_Blue
Hmmmm, it would be difficult to be as irritating as Bruce
