craftyhunnypie
How do I know this you might ask??? Because the money for it has gone out of my hubby's account when he went the bank today! Delivery date is officially Tuesday, but Omlet said it may come Monday! Just think, it is now sat in some lonely Night Freight depot glowing in the dark! I nearly bought some Pekins tonight that I saw advertised in one of our ads papers. If I'd had a hutch or dog cage or something - I might have got them! I'm hoping they have still got them when I have my cube & the 3 new girlies are in with my 3 Omlet originals & getting on ok. I bought some anti peck spray today ready for expecting the worst! Any naughty chook will get bumper bit treatment if they don't give up! I've also got a good water pistol at the ready! Gosh I sound like flippin' Lara Croft don't I? he he It's getting hard to concentrate on anything but the cube! So I'm going shopping tomorrow to tkae my mind of it. I'm off to Wolverhampton on the train with my mum. A girly day out. Emma.x
Snowy
How exciting Emma! I haven't thought too much about mine - September seems an awful long time off at the moment! You need that day out I think - good distraction! Have fun Monday or Tuesday.

craftyhunnypie
Guess what?????? . . . . . . . . . . . . IT's HERE!!!!! MY GORGEUS ORANGE CUBE! It arrived by courier at 8.45am! I can't quite believe it's here. 5 huge boxes are now propped up in my garden ready to be assembled. Hubby is doing it later this evening! I've told the girls their new home is here & they are all clucking excitedly! Now can anyone tell me which box has the instructions in? Also, has anyone any tips for putting it together & what is the best bit to start on? I think my cat is going to be in it as she has got a thing about ladders & boxes! Beer to the ready for hubby & I may even have to use some syns for a glass of wine later. Off to Wilkinsons later to get some netting to make a temporary pen for them when I transfer them, as I want to clip their wings also & they can do a bit of free ranging. I best shift my pots of pansies out of the way hadn't I? I'm all of a lather & won't be able to concentrate on work at all today. The colour is FABULOUS!!!!! I hope it's all there & no parts missing. Thanks Omlet for letting me get my cube a day earlier! Woohoo! Oh god, I think I've flipped! Will have to arrange a hen party now!!!! Couperman
Do you not know which box the instructions are in? Everyone knows that they will be in the last box you open! Check for the fasteners before getting too excited! Have fun, you could probably figure it out without the instructions anyhow. The Run is fiddly mind. Kev. craftyhunnypie
Hi everyone! ( yells at the top of her voice)!!, I've found the instructions and the brochure etc. You know we could have had a right little scam going with all those recommend a friend to buy an eglu & get £20 to spend in the eglu shop! I'll have to talk my sister into one now! I've also got the drinker out - cool design, I like logical designs. I can't get over the colour - it's just sooooo me - extremely bright, jolly, whacky & retro! I best dig out my orange (copy) crocs & those orange rubber gloves I bought a while back! What will I look like? I like the look of the foot pedals & wheels. Oooo now I can wheel my chickens out down the road on a nice day, just like pushing a buggy, but without the baby in! No seriously, that is going to be so handy. My hubby wanted to take the instructions out to work with him ( he's got to go Stafford today). I quickly rescued them cos I knew they would just get lost. All these Omlet boxes! It's like 100 Christmases rolled into one! Going to have some fun with my 3 Original Omlet chooks later aren't I? Will get my newbies either Friday or Saturday. We're a bit tied up til then. First photo going in my gallery in a min - see sub gallery CUBE! Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
Well I've started my orange cube photo album, just waiting for hubby to get in now. The Stella is in the fridge chilling nicely & the chooks ( and me) are pacing up and down frantically - we want our cube NOW! Emma.x
chelsea
Cant wait to see the pics. I LOVE the ORANGE cube, if I were to have a little windfall I would jump on the Cube bandwagon and would be ordering an ORANGE one right now!! you lucky thing !! BeckyBoo
Has he built it yet? Hold back the last Stella - tell him he can't have it til it's built! craftyhunnypie
Hmmm - we are out on the decking building it supposedly together. But I have had to come in a minute as we are having a domestic. He wants to do something his way! He doesn't want to tighten the nuts (ouch) before putting the back run panel on. But I've said, shut up..I'm sure Johannes & Omlet know what they are doing when writing instructions! Grrrrrrrr! It's starting to go dark already - the chooks aren't going to get in the new home tonight! Think it will have to be a playhouse for holly the cat tonight! Best go & have another peep at what he's up to. I wish I'd now had some Omlet chickens & Johannes or Roy to assemble it! Emma.x
Jules.
Oh dear, Emma. We had a domestic when putting up out Eglu, OH says I can have a cube when it will be delivered & put up by Omlet..... we phoned Omlet about this a few week ends ago & still haven't had a reply We are just on their boundary for delivery & installation. craftyhunnypie
Well, I'm quite fuming actually. All that excitement & for what? a cube base with wheels on as you will see from the photos in my gallery! No more getting done to it tonight. But we have stumbled across a problem - it won't fit to wheel it down the garden path...it should have been built in the area it was going in! grrrrr stupid hubby! So now it's abandoned until either late tomorrow night or Wednesday morning. For gods sake, I think I've waited enough for my cube. I have now got to cook tea at 9.45pm at night! Oh I am so annoyed, it makes me feel like saying to him - stuff the cube! All the excitement has literally gone poof! Going to cook, eat & then sulk in bed! So ner! Snowy
Oh dear, how frustrating for you! Be patient - it will be worth it in the end! (wait 'til I get mine - then you can laugh at me and OH trying to get ours together and having a domestic! )
craftyhunnypie
This has to be worse than trying to put a caravan awning up! Apparently that always causes domestics!!!! Needless to say, we won't have an awning - we take a easy up gazebo instead! Emma.x
Gallina
Johannes didn't make my Cube in the area where it was going to go. He reckoned it was better to make it on my grass, and then he and I carried it to the final position. I just thought I had better mention this in case you get into a pickle again today. You need a lot of space to put it together, and there may not be room for manoeuvre on the site you have prepared. I very strongly recommend to everyone in the Omlet delivery area to get chickens with their Cube so that you get it assembled free of charge. Putting it together looked even worse than I had imagined.
craftyhunnypie
Well we started making it on the decking & the plan was to carry it to it's position where it's going. But it won't fit through where the steps of the decking are & so we would have to lift it quite high over the decking rails and it is sooooo big & heavy. We will have a look later - hope it stops raining tonight. We can't do anything until 8pm ish anyway, so I bet it will get let til tomorrow! craftyhunnypie
At last ! The rain has stopped and we have blue sky & sunshine! Guess what hubby will be doing when he gets in tonight? My cat has been using the cube to shelter from the rain, even tho it is only a base with wheels on at the moment - to her it's a good shelter! I just want my chooks in their cube.
