Little Hen Rescue Robbery (again)

Recommended Posts

I have been away from here for some time. Life gets in the way sometimes. When I first moved to Norfolk 3 years ago today I homed 3 ex batts from Jo LHR in the October. Sadly they are no longer with me but they all had a good year of being free. When I collected them I became very emotional, something I didn't expect to happen. I now have 8 girls I have re homed from various places and still have one original lady who moved with us her age I have no idea and she hasn't laid an egg since last year :!::roll: I really hope that Jo can carry on her good work. I along with many have donated. If anyone on here wants to donate just go to the Little Hen Rescue web site and scroll down. You can donate via paypal. :D

sadly the web site doesn't seem to be available any more

I found the Little Hen Rescue facebook page and trawled through te pages to see whether Jo had made a decision to close. She had been thinking about it after the robbery, of course.

It isn't closing.

On 11 Sept Jo posted the following:

Hello People..

Thanks for your ongoing support, I really appreciate it. I'm sorry I haven't been online much, having a small meltdown.. We are all ok, little hens has all new locks and bolts. Have a fantastic new staff member working there now who has taken a huge load off me xx

The website is down at the moment but once I figure out how to change the domain name over again, it'll be back on! The old one wants to much money.

So hopefully good news!

Jo posted this about an hour ago on the LHR Facebook page:

"Sadly Little Hen Rescue has to close. Animals have been rehomed to PACT ANIMAL SANCTUARY. Any money donated will be forwarded to them.

I'm afraid after the last armed robbery, LHR cannot continue. I am thankful for your support in the years we have been open.

I will be having a yard sale to continue to raise more money.

LHR Facebook will continue to run as it's become its own little community.

I thank all my supporters, Rehomers and volunteers."
