Chickendoodle
I don't think there will ever be a way of scoring that will please everyone. I preferred it when the judges didn't have the final say. I personally wouldn't vote for Judy but I can fully understand why people are - she is very likeable, tries hard and is entertaining. It is after all firstly an entertainment show, not just a dancing competition and she is obviously striking a chord with a lot of people Some of the comments on the SCD Facebook page are really vitriolic against her; quite unecessary. After saying that, I hope that she doesn't go beyond next week. The problem I have with the judges is that they always keep the person in with the best dancing ability (obvious I know) but towards the end of the competition this means that someone generally stays in who can dance brilliantly but is not necessarily very popular. I have a problem with Pixie this year. Yes I accept that she can dance but I can't warm to her. In a dance off however she would probably always get the judges vote
chickencam
It was a shame for Alison to leave because that was a great charleston, but I do like Judy she hasn't got the arrogance of some of the poor dancers in earlier series. She is just having the time of her life and I think people have warmed to her because they can identify with that. Simon did the dance of the night in my view closely followed by Pixie. Egluntyne
Simon's Argentine Tango was stunning. Judy was as bad as ever. Surely she must got this time?
The Dogmother
I agree on both points. I wasn't enamoured of Steve's dance either, but I think that was just down to the choreography.
chickencam
I wasn't particularly struck with Caroline's jive, but everyone else seemed to love it, including my OH. Judy should go this week, she did have some dancing this week though, I think that both Steve and Sunetra could be in danger too.
Lavenders_Blue
I completely agree about Simon's Argentine tango, it was absolutely outstanding and my favourite dance of the night. Judy has finally managed to get to the stage everyone else was at on week one, I think. I suppose at least it actually resembled a dance, albeit a pretty terrible one But it really is time for her to go now. I agree that Steve and Sunetra could be in danger this week too. Wasn't the top of the leaderboard close? You couldn't put a pin between them all.
Egluntyne
Right result tonight.
The Dogmother
Yup.... finally. I have to say that Judy has taken it all in good grace and humour though.
chickencam
She left on a high, she danced well in the dance off and had a ball. The standard this week was very high, loved Simon's Argentine Tango and Mark's Charlston.
Purplemaniacs
Yes she did take it in good grave. I wonder if she was relieved to be in the dance-off? She must have realised that her dancing was not at the same level as the others but if the public keeps saving you there is nothing that you can do but wait. sparkysmum
Totally right that Judy should go but I actually shed a wee tear for her. This is despite the fact that she has made me cringe every week!
The Dogmother
Some astonishingly good dancing tonight.... except for Steve the dance just wasn't suited to him, and he hasn't got the bounce required for the jive. I hope that hasn't cost him a place tonight.
Egluntyne
I agree. Poor Claudia struggled a bit when Kristina was kind to her.
The Dogmother
Yes, she was professional, but you codul see that she wanted to be with her child. What on earth has Kristina done to her face? It seems to be stretched tight, with pillows for cheeks
chickencam
Claudia may be a bit whacky, but she is such a professional. She coped so well with getting her emotions under control, although she did snap at Simon. I really feel for her. I am really torn by the presenters now, I love Claudia and Zoe, but not so keen on Tess.
The Dogmother
I am finding Tess really irritating this season; she hams is up, and grabs for the contestants. If she says 'look at the audience, all on their feet' once more, I shall mute the TV when she's on!

The Dogmother
That was a Bruce line wasn't it Yes, she seems to have assumed it, and it's really getting on my wick... along with her overly false hamming it up; I find it slightly patronising when she treats the audience like a senile, elderly, deaf aunt. Speaking loudly and in words of not more than one syllable.
Plum
Probably all scripted. It's so unnatural some of the questions she asks judges when they are about to give feedback, it sort of throws them. Nailbiting tonight but right person went. The Dogmother
I agree, Steve's re-run of the jive was even worse than first time around.
chickencam
Sounds like he may have been carrying an injury, but the right person went tonight
Lavenders_Blue
Tess is not a natural presenter is she? I've never really thought that she has that natural, easy presenting/interviewing style that Claudia and Zoe have, it just happened to pale into insignificance when compared to the awfulness of Brucie Zoe and Claudia would make a terrific double act. I really didn't want Steve to go this weekend, he is just such a nice guy, clearly enjoying every moment of the experience and so gracious about losing the dance off. However, a strapping great bloke with fused ankles was never going to do well in the jive, and based on the evening's performances it was the right decision. Sunetra to go next, I think, then after that I am not sure I could choose. The standard is so high now.
chickencam
I agree, once Sunetra has gone I have no idea who will be next
sadietoo
Can't say I was that keen on Pixie's Charleston ( cringes and waits for onslaught of disagreement). Otherwise I pretty much agreed with the judges. Don't have a favourite to win though and I usually do by this stage Too many talented dancers to chose from!
