Lavenders_Blue
I know what you mean, sadietoo. Pixie's performance was very accomplished and she didn't put a foot wrong, it just wasn't very Charleston-y. Mind you, the music didn't really lend itself to a Charleston, she really should have been dancing American Smooth to that song. I wonder if the couples are allowed to ask for a different song if they feel that the one they have been given doesn't lend itself to a particular dance? Egluntyne
I loathe the Charleston, but agree that Pixie's was very stylish and well done.
chickencam
There was a lot in her Charleston, but it just didn't have that kooky fun appeal and looked a bit frantic, I also felt that she didn't have the swivel that the judges are normally looking for. I was surprised at her high score, I love a good Charlton like the one that Mark and Karen did the week before. I think that I would like Mark to win, not someone I thought that I would warm to at all, but I think he has come on in leaps and bounds and is just loving the experience so much. Another contender now has to be Simon, I really wasn't keen on him and I don't like Kristina's false persona I find that she tends to correograph for herself rather than her partner. but again he is so much improved. The Dogmother
You are so right about Kristina choreographing for herself, Brendan does the same.
Egluntyne
Am sorry to see this week's contestant go. Any one else find the extra dancers distracting and a nuisance, like the one who barged into one of the celebs on Saturday.
The Dogmother
Me too, she's absolutely lovely, but not quite the same standard as the other cdleb dancers. I dislike the extra dancers almost as much as the busy and overly busy sets and lights; too distracting.
sparkysmum
Same here My girl and I were rooting for Sunetra but she has done well to have got this far Almost nothing between the top dancers now. Pixie and Frankie are just sooooo good. Ax
chickencam
It is going to be like splitting hairs from now on
Lavenders_Blue
Yes I found the extra dancers very distracting, and I didn't feel they added anything at all. I wasn't that keen on them at Blackpool either, but I realise they had a bigger dance floor there and probably needed to fill the space a bit. However, this weekend they were a total nuisance. clucker1
Oh no! Trixie is out! Was Len and Darcy watching the same dance as I was? I am very unhappy and sad. Trixie was such a delight to watch, Strictly won't be the same!
The Dogmother
It has got to that stage when it's very hard to have to make a decision; they are all dancing so well, but if I am honest, I think that Frankie's dance wasn't a patch in Trixie's. chickencam
So difficult to choose now, Pixie started off as a good natural dancer, whereas Simon has progressed a long way. They had to choose in the night, again difficult because it was Latin against Ballroom.
Lavenders_Blue
I was really sad that Pixie went - BUT... I would have been sad whoever went this week. They are all so good now. My choice for the dance off probably would have been Jake and Mark, but I honestly didn't want any of them to go.
Snowy
I felt sure it would be between Pixie and Caroline in the end. But they are all very good now.
sadietoo
I thought on the basis of tonight's dance only Pixie had to go but not sure how Frankie avoided the dance off. I like Simon. But after that Argentinian Tango my favourite is Carline and of course she has the benefit of Pasha's wonderful choreography too!
Chickendoodle
I was very irritated by the waltzathon as it seemed to be just a way for the judges to manipulate the scores. I can't see how they could place 6 couples in a proper order after 90 seconds of dancing and no discussion time afterwards. As soon as it started I said to my OH that Pixie would be first as it would shoot her up the scoreboard. Let us not forget that she was quite low down after her dance, second from bottom I think, which makes her being in the dance off unsurprising. Her dance was not as good as Simon's and I was very surprised at Craig saving her as he didn't seem to be judging her on that dance but her overall ability. They are all so good that anyone could have gone this week. I would like Caroline to win, she puts so much heart into her dances.
chickencam
My husband said that the judges didn't watch the waltzathon, they were just looking at a piece of paper and conferring as though they had already decided which order they wanted everyone to be in to manipulate the score board. jess1merlin
Looking forward to tonight's final, glass of wine at the ready. Not sure who I want to win really although I have liked Caroline from the beginning. What we are going to do on Saturdays from now on Hope everyone enjoys it

The Dogmother
W H A T ???!!!! How can Mark be out?
The Dogmother
My money is on Simon; that performance was just sublime, and from no dance experience and a massive chip on his shoulder, he has come such a long way. Frankie's dance just didn't do it for me this time. Caroline's dance was beautiful too, but her crying is starting to grate, and she has previous dance experience... for what it's worth, I still think she's pregnant
Plum
really! Caroline danced best but Simon has come the furthest so now I hope he wins. I want to watch it all again
The Dogmother
Has anyone else noticed how miserable Pixie looks in photos with her real boyfriend, yet how happy she seems with Trent?
