Lavenders_Blue
I agree that Thom wasn't great on the dance-off, but neither he nor Simon should have been in the dance-off in the first place. But this happens every year. Hopefully it will all even out in time. Unfair in the meantime though!
Chickendoodle
It's always the same at this point in the show, the worst ones are kept in at the expense of better ones. It is usually a wake up call and hopefully will right itself soon. Steve Backshall is pretty amazing I think. He had a broken back fairly recently (I remember seeing him on The One Show in a full body brace - must have been 3-4 years ago)). He had 12 operations and the same accident caused a serious injury to his ankle - won't go into details here as it is gruesome but it can be googled - and as a result his ankle and foot bone have been fused together so he cant bend one of his feet at all. Never a mention of it and not going for the sympathy vote. Very commendable
The Dogmother
Some really great dances tonight, shame that Steve 'corpsed' *groan* Doesn't Judy have great legs? Sadly nothing could eclipse her dreadful dancing tonight; even Scott was better Oh, and why on earth did Zoe keep grabbing and hauling up the front of her dress? Plum
Scott was brilliant, I really thought he was going to dance the whole dance as a hunchback that would have been genius. I didn't take to Frankie's dance like the judges, the music was so wrong for a tango in my opinion. Judy lived up to expectations
chickencam
Oh, I loved Frankie's dance and my other favourite from last night was Mark's jive, so fast and full of content. He is loving his strictly experience Scott's dance was entertaining and his partner did such a good job of tailoring it to suit him.
Couperwife
I have just discovered that my (nearly ) 7 month old sproglet loooves Strictly I've recorded them and i've only just got chance to watch (on 2nd show) and Abigail is glued to the tv - admittedly we don't have the telly on very much - maybe she is just interested in the telly so, now I will be watching a little bit more Cathy x
Alis girls
I overheard somewhere that someone on strictly is pregnant p they wouldnt say whether it was a presenter or dancer. Anyone know?
The Dogmother
I thought the other day that Ola looked a bit chubbier than usual.... Oh, and my ancient TV has packed up again
Egluntyne
I thought Frankie's dance was absolutely stunning. I agree with whichever judge, I forget now which one it was, who said that Anton looked as if he was dancing with a mannequin. Those dogs didn't seem too happy, and they added very little to the dance.
chickencam
I agree, I wasn't happy to see those poor dogs being dragged onto the dance floor. Whoever thought that would be a good idea, needs to take serious look at themselves. The poor things were terrified
The Dogmother
I agree; it made me quite angry as they were obviously terrified.
Lavenders_Blue
Yes, I thought those poor dogs looked absolutely terrified too. What an awful idea that was. Judy was dreadful and should have gone. I rather liked Scott's dance - yes there was a lot wrong with it, but it was cleverly choreographed and they both clearly enjoyed it. I loved Frankie's dance but agree that it wasn't very 'tango-y' but then I think that was the case with a number of the dances. What happened to Claudia? I missed the beginning of the programme. The Dogmother
One of her children is poorly; nice to see a celebrity who puts her family first.
Purplemaniacs
I heard on the radio this morning that Claudia's daughter suffered burns on Friday. Story here http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/claudia-winkleman-matilda-getting-very-4569113 That is so sad, I hope she makes a speedy recovery, poor little thing. The Dogmother
What did we think last night? Some really lovely dances there, but Judy really has to go this week. I was scrutinising all the female dancers to see if any of them looked pregnant (if indeed the rumour is true) my only candidate was Caroline Flack; did anyone else notice a definite tum in the practice sequence? Egluntyne
Judy looked stunning but that's it. She danced as if rigor mortis had set in. Loved Simon's dance, and especially loved his proud mum, who looked not a day over 30.
Plum
I've really taken to Simon now, he was a bit cocky to begin with. It'll be Judy of course if she's in the dance off. Otherwise I think Jake's not so hot. I've never taken to Steve he could go. I love it all really as much now as the first series
The Dogmother
How the heck is Judy still on the programme? Even the judges didn't seem to believe it.
clucker1
Ditto DM! How is she still there? Who is voting for her and it is such a shame for Alison and Aliash?sp as otherwise they would have made it to Blackpool I think they need to add an extra rule that if you come last, 3 times you are OUT or something like that! Lavenders_Blue
I do think that the couple placed last by the judges should automatically go into the dance off, with the second couple being voted in by combined judges'/public vote. It seems very unfair that someone who is so far behind the rest of the contestants should be saved week after week. I don't just mean Judy, of course, we've seen it with John Sargeant, Ann Widdicombe etc.
The Dogmother
Judging by the look on Anton's face, he was as surprised as anyone else that they had gone through yet again. I wonder if she gets lots of votes from the twittersphere.
