bluekarin
Me and my hubby are doing it too. Not so much for the fund raising element, more for our health. I think I will be fine, but I do think he will struggle as he does like his beer

bluekarin
Hubby and I had our final *sobs* drinks Sunday night so the house has zero alcohol in it. Well, apart from a bottle of Kahlua but it's far too sweet to drink so that's safe
soapdragon
Wow, I take my hat off to those abstaining! I absolutely could not do it.........I do love my glass of wine now and then. Prob have a bit much on occasions but find it relaxing and a treat on a Friday evening; Gardeners World wouldn't be the same without it! Angie
I have offered to go sober with some of the girls on my old ward. They won't let me do it as I have been sober since 1996, and they think its cheating It is not my fault that I am allergic to alcohol or grapes is it So I can go without chocolate instead . I have promised I will endeavour to go without and that is choccie cake , bickies, ice-cream...anything with chocolate in it, so no sprinkles on my cappuccino either .This could be quite a task but I'm in . bluekarin
The weekend will be the hardest for me too. I love a glass or several of red Fri/Sat night and sometimes a few with Sunday dinner. Also GBBO is usually accompanied by a glass of wine I will, however, look forward to the very nice bottle of red I shall buy ready for 1st Nov with all the money I would have saved

Hahaha, maybe I should do that too! Although I'm also a crisp fan and haven't eaten those in about three weeks. Not so much by choice, more out of need. (My digestive system has gone into puberty... Not listening to normal commands and being very moody and grumpy...)
Space Chick
Some of the girls in the office are doing it. They asked me..... But as I raised over £300 for MacMillian in the summer by cycling 40 miles I declined Think I've done my bit of the this year
