Fred's campaign

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I will leave it

I feel like a right idiot now

But for goodness sake don't stop posting - forums need keen people like you Fred - and people who can do emoticons and other whizz bangy technically stuff are like gold dust - so hang in there please.

And there's nothing wrong at all with being an idiot I'll have you know - its served me well for the last 50+ years. I didn't get where I am today without being an idiot.

More youngsters should consider it as a career option. I do believe there is an OU course in idiocy, buried down somewhere way way way below the media studies and graphic design stuff. You can do the certificate and diploma and they get you points towards a Masters in total loonacy.

There's far to many earnest, clever people around these days - we need far more lerts and loofs (and idiots).

The mental image I have of you all is too funny for words!

I see you all wearing goggles with hair and scarves flying and faces affected by the G forces!!

It is the Ibuprofen... it always makes me high!

Stop making me laugh....it is making my back hurt.

hey - thats not fair. I posted my bit, then edited it to put a couple of daft mistakes right, and by the time I did it and resubmitted it (all of 2 minutes I reckon) there were two more people on the thread.

Its not fair - I demand parity and the right to be the last posting, at least for a few seconds or so!

Can I also take this opportunity to say that the last job I ever want in the whole wide world is to be a moderator. it sounds like very hard work and seems to require infinate patience and ability (not to mention the good looks etc previously mentioned). None of which I have in even miniscule amounts.

It also seems to mean being sensible, which is something I have a bit of a blind spot about.

So Fred can have my place on the list.

The place that I haven't got - but he can have it anyway.

Well its better than making tears run down your legs.

Sorry - I'm also far too crude to be a moderator.

Moderation in all things

'Most moderator openings are volunteer positions, although there may be substantial indirect rewards. These highly visible positions can lead to enhanced status within a community' Do you mods have enhanced status?

Moderator

A material, such as ordinary water, heavy water, or graphite, that is used in a reactor to slow down high-velocity neutrons, thus increasing the likelihood of fission. I think thats off the wrong site

I'll go now - my teas ready

I have to add that this forum is the best one I have ever ever been on. Mainly because you ARE allowed to express opinions without getting bullied off the forum. You are allowed to have your say, even if you are not always right. You DO get help when you need it. YOu get hugs when you're down, laughs when you need them, tips & ideas & a whole host of lovely, wonderful friends who you wish you could have round your house all at the same time - to drink wine, eat chocolate, talk chickens and poo & wear pants on their heads!

Sneaking people on mods list eh? We best 'ALL' watch ourselves!

Wouldn't mind something in the craft department tho! he he

Cinnamon should be a mod - she's a golden egg now you know!

Thanks everyone for a great forum!

That's the nature of the forum Fred, threads so quickly go off tangent, then seriousness gets lost in humour and it's all great fun, even if a little confusing at times :D:D:D .

For what it's worth I think you've done a fabulous job with creating emoticons, you're obviously very clever with computer graphics and have been contributing greatly to the forum, and for that thank you :D . You're an asset to the forum.

This forum is pretty special though, as Emma and a few others have said, and that's because everyone who uses it is so friendly and relaxed, and we can all contribute to debates, have a rant, seek sympathy or suppot or join in celebrations together and there's no nastiness, even when there's disagreement. It's lovely and that's why I'm here so much :D:D

It probably works against all you lovely people though, since moderating this forum is a doddle 99% of the time, not much bad language or harsh words to moderate out, and I love this place, and all those who frequent it, too much to ever envisage leaving, and I'm only guessing here, but I reckon most of the other mods feel the same  So I can't see any mod vacancies arising any time soon.

Sorry.............................. but please don't do a thing to change that :D:D:D

I like your enthusiasm Fred, but you're unlikely to become a mod in the near future...after all, "Ooops, word censored!"ody who is a mod really wants to get rid of their modship, (is that a real word?) and the list seems to be very long...

I'd love to be a mod, but I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with the posts!
