buffie
I was looking at a friends Oh's website and it dawned on me the train enthusiasts would love to see the images Mike has taken. www.mikemccormac.co.uk BBx
The Dogmother
Richard will be interested to see the pictures of Norfolk - that's his part of the county. I know it well too. Lovely photos Buffie
buffie
Yes he's very talented and my friend (his oh) is also a photographer. Did my web pics I wouldn't have the patience or the interest in using all the wonderful technology. Pam tried to teach me some photoshop but numpty just couldn't get it Oh well BBx
The Dogmother
Phil has to use photography as part of his illustration work, he thinks he's pants at it, but he takes some lovely photos and has done our Christmas (there, I said it) photos for the last few years. He's (obviously) a whizz at photoshop and has taught me some bits, but he mainly uses 3D design packages and other stuff. I love your website photos Buff - they're lovely. A friend of mine does portrait photography in her spare time, when seh first started, she asked us to pose for the album on her site - got some lovely photos from that, in fact, there's still one of Phil and I on there, she's linked it so I can't post an image, but it's here - bottom left, if you mouse over it, you can see a bigger image. Lovely photos Buffie trains are ok, i have a friend whos birthday trip was to go train spotting, hardly anyone came and i think they only saw a eutostar one of my fave places in norfolk is great yarmouth yaaaaay! the old fasioned rollercoaster that madness sang some song on, i loved it!! norfolks a lovely place to live, I could imagine myself in a nice hidden away cottage a bit like a sound of music scene
The Dogmother
I hate to say it James, but Yarmouth isn't my favourite place. My folks have a hosue in Stalham, which is pretty central on the coast, and we practically grew up there in the school holidays. We always head 'up coast' when we are over there. Tina C
Oooh Clare - my mum lived in Stalham when she was a little girl. Its changed a lot since then though! My favourite place in Norfolk is Wells Next the Sea......
The Dogmother
What a small world Tina. I've been going to Stalham since I was 9, so 35 years, and it has changed an awful lot, which is a shame. It was such fun spending all summer there when we were younger - messing around on boats, fishing, walking 3 miles to the beach, making dens.... Tina C
Its that thing about only being five people away from a connection (or something scary like that) I did have a great aunt and uncle in Stalham but they have passed away now - ever come across an Otto and Izzy? Great names eh? Real Norfolk people! My mum's cousin lives in Sea Palling (Norfolk place names make me laugh!)

The Dogmother
What do you mean 'off topic'? That's what we do here We're hoping to go up to Norfolk again during October half term - we'll have to meet up if you're around then. I love Overstrand (where the lobster pots are), we stop to have a snack in the cafe at the top of the cliff, and the beach is lovely - nevr crowded. While OH and I have a couple of days break ......... in Norfolk! We're going to Blakeney - never been so come on Norfolks - what's it like? The Dogmother
Blakeney is lovely Snowy - you'll love it. Biting wind when it's cold though. You can go on a boat trip out to see the seals on the sandbanks. If you like eating fish, then a trip to Cookies on the saltflats at Salthouse is a must - delicious fresh fish.
