Cate in NZ
Sounds like a great opportunity Anne Marie......... such a pity that he's already done the cube feature . Don't forget to come back and tell us all about it after the event, and if Mr T is actually as nice as he seems. I once (a long time ago now) went to a recording of Blind Date with Cilla, and it ruined all my illusions, the number of takes there were when they had to "spontaneously" answer the questions, especially when one of the chaps actually gave a far too rude response and was told that he couldn't say that and he had to tone it down. It's interesting to see how much editing goes on
Jools
Lucky you! He comes across as such a nice man and I must admit that I've gone right off Gardener's World since he left

The Dogmother
Indeed Clare! It's true what they say you know big hands = big gloves Kev. Bit like the joke about the cowboy and his boots - not repeatable on this forum though
Egluntyne
Claret...you keep returning to the size of Monty's hands....why is that? He can come and potter in my garden any time.

AMO
I think Monty is pretty scrummy too!! I managed to exchange a few words with Alan at the BBC Gardening Show earlier this year - he nodded and winked at me as he passed the Omlet stand :swoon: but I couldn't convince him to change his traditional wooden pens for one of ours!! Egluntyne
Apparently A T threw the disgusting John McCrirrick off the set this week for being abusive to Ingrid Tarrant. I didn't see it myself but good for him!
AMO
Good for Mr T. John McCirrick is a horrid man!
The Dogmother
I read an interview with him once and couldn't contain my rage... what a bigoted, rude, unpleasant, self-centred man!!!

Jules.
Oh, I can't watch it because I have an iMac I am a big Alan fan, I never buy a newspaper & most of the TV in our house is of the CBeebies kind. I didn't even know Alan had a show on in the afternoons- I can watch it on my days I am not working
Snowy
Steady on Jules! I know I'm not a big fan of Alan's, but I don't dislike him, if that makes sense. But John McCririck! Now he is not a pleasant person Very ignorant. I couldn't see the throwing off either, but am pleased it happened - well done Alan!
