Charlottechicken
Just treated myself to these little beauties this morning, they are going cheap (sorry) at the moment, only £2.99 each instead of £4.99. They are frost resistant terracotta, and are 26cm long by 14-16cm high. The one on the left is a little faded that's why I think they are reduced. They are called Happy Hens!!! Ahh, someone else with good taste Actually the white mark to the left of the left hen is wild bird poo, the girls won't go near enough to them yet. Give it a few days and they will be showing them no respect

Charlottechicken
I was talking about ours! not your lovely new shiny ones Kev. I know I felt I had to point out part of my national collection of wild bird poo that adorns my garden! Like I said, my hens are are too scared of these terracotta birdies at the moment, but I am sure that, like yours, mine will soon have chicken poo on them

If any of mine evr go broody, I'll put one of those terracotta chickens in the nest...that would sort them out. Can you imagine the chooks faces?!! Snowy
Might be a new way to deter broodies Emma! I saw some very similar in a garden centre in Wales, but they were glazed in a lovely light buff colour. I wanted to go back and get them before we went home but ran out of time That'll teach me. I'll get them when I see them in future.
