I see weeping angels is high on the list. I never watched it. I put it off for ages as I'm a wuss and then dh deleted it anyway. I really must watch it. I need to find a willing volunteer to watch it with me

Were the weeping angels the ones that were like gravestone statues that sort of came to life?? I was very scared of that episode!!!! More so than the daleks! I think the daleks soon became very dated, more robots than monsters. I used to be so scared of Dr Who when I was little, I hid behind the setee! Dr Who & Scooby Doo haunted me when I was little!!!!!

For me it was the child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, still can't watch it now!

I've not watched very many but voted for Daleks so I could see the results! The one with Christopher Ecclestone as the Doctor and the patients with gas masks on was the scariest one I've seen.

Weeping Angels - fantastic - I think its because they are 'real' and you see them everywhere so its easy to imagine how scary it would be if it really happened.

Definitely the weeping angels...very spooky!

When we went to the Isle of Wight this summer, we had an evening meal at a pub resturant which had a garden full of statues. When it started to get dark, the children really didn't want to stay in the garden and pleaded to go inside... Much to Dh's amusement, I wasn't sorry to go inside either

Definately weeping angels, I had nightmares after that one, it was a 'hiding behind the cushion' episode!! My daft friend let her 9 year old watch it and she still has nightmares about them now!

Generally as monsters go I find any inanimate object that acts in a way it shouldn't very creepy....especially baby dolls

 

But the weeping angels didn't do it for me in the slightest.

They were just stone lumps with a few wet bits - not creepy in the least
