Goosey Lucy
At the risk of inviting much derision and laughter I want to say how thrilled I am that Top Gear is back. It's one of the best programmes on tv, humorous to the point of making DH and I nearly cry at their antics. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but it's good to see people enjoying what they do. Tonight's quest to find the best road was brilliant, DH is even suggesting we go to Italy and drive along the same road. Although we won't be driving an Aston. Mrs Frugal
I love Hammy but I'm not sure about the new hairdo . Excellent episode as usual. Ollie nearly had an accident laughing at James May in the Aston .
Guest
Cracking episode. Only decent programme ever screened on a Sunday night. Why oh why to BBC1 & ITV think that Sunday is the "insipid" zone
bronze
I'm wondering if there was scarring on his head hence all the floppy hair dos WE were laughing a lot. SO much so I had to gag DH so I could hear the rest of it
The Dogmother
I'm not sure whether it was Top Gear, or something similar, but Phil recorded James May's flight in a tornado for me the other week (one of my ambitions); it was fab to watch from the inside having seen them at airshows. James May said that it climbed 'like a homesick angel'.... what a phrase

theherd123
Top Gear is fab! Did anyone see the special programme they did not long back where they tried to get to the North Pole by car?! Brilliant TV!
Guest
Oh I loved that one, my fave quote on my facebook account is "I'd set out to prove that polar exploration could be easy - but it isn't. It's brutal and savage. The fact is though, that two middle-aged men - deeply unfit and mostly drunk - had made it. Thanks entirely to the incredible machine that took us there. They'd said we'd never get to the Pole because of the damage the car has already done to the ice cap. "Perhaps then that's what we've proved most of all - really - the inconvenient truth is, it doesn't appear to have even scratched the surface." Jeremy Clarkson Although I'm not anti green I do think the car often gets an unfairly bad press.
