Cate in NZ
I heard that too Sarah, such a shock just as I was beginning to relax and look forward to spring arriving. It's been a lovely day here (weather-wise at least ) so a real cold snap is going to be a real shock

SarahJo
I feel homesick again ... I used to work the area of SW Scotland, and Castle Douglas was one of my fave places, our coffee table came from there. . Have just been walking up Teggs Nose (country park in Macclesfield), and it was trying hard to snow while we were there. The boys loved it, as there was still snow left from earlier this week. Mel (& Paul)
We had three flakes this morning (and NO not the chocolate ones before you ask ) this time last year we wer in Finland dog-sledding and the snow was fab.
Lesley-Jean
I feel homesick again ... I used to work the area of SW Scotland, and Castle Douglas was one of my fave places, John's relatives live in Castle Douglas we visit a few times each year as they are now about 80 year old and have no other relatives. It is a very nice part of the lowlands with beautiful coast line and some interesting castles and gardens, It does tend to be very wet though, and for a sun loving southerner a bit too cold. The Dogmother
It was sooo cold here yesterday, I was dodging the sleet showers trying to clean out the Eglu run. It's pretty cold today too. We went to Lesley's this morning, and the wind whips in off the fields behind them. Needless to say I have my thermal vest on today.
SarahJo
When we had come home from our walk .. we all had hot choc, and the baking Ben had done yesterday at the "Speckled Hen Bakery" ... he went to a party there and they all baked their own cakes and biccies . The party bag was lovely too .. choc brownies, some animal cutters and a set of wooden rolling pin, Spatula and spoon. . The wind and chill factor was worse yesterday .... but on top of Teggs Nose it was really raw. .

Cinnamon
Bitter again here today too. I have been popping in & out all day trying to make encouraging noises about the chicken pen. ali-s
We have a blizzard Big fat flakes of horizontal snow blowing straight off the sea. I had to pick the dog up and carry her outside for a wee. She is now sulking in her basket. Battled through the blizzard to put a rug over the Eglu. Just made myself a cup of hot chocolate and found the bed socks (OH on night shift this week).
