Roxanne
My girls drink from an antique chamber pot which fills with rainwater from the guttering of their run. I think I spoil them! Now there's a thought....!
Richard
My girls drink from an antique chamber pot which fills with rainwater from the guttering of their run. I think I spoil them! How brilliant is that - must see if I can rig something like that up!
Egluntyne
My girls drink from an antique chamber pot which fills with rainwater from the guttering of their run. I think I spoil them! That is stylish!! It's not valuable is it?
tomalexi
Na, bought it for a fiver! Here's their run: the gutter's on the left, it curves in through the wire mesh to end above the pot, so fresh water for the girls and I only have to top it up if it hasn't rained for a few days. Richard
how cool is that. hens sandwiched between the compost and the greenhouse. Fantastic; that really is the business.
Daywalker
with the compost heap nice & close for all that poo!
Tina C
I can hear my girls pecking away at a metal dog bowl that has been left out in the rain - they must be doing the equivalent of licking the bowl to get the last drops out.
tomalexi
Yup, so easy to clean out the coop: the green box in the run contains feed, newspaper, wood shavings etc. so it's all close to hand. There's even electric lighting in the coop itself! I think I may have gone a bit overboard
Richard
There's even electric lighting in the coop itself! I think I may have gone a bit overboard Awww come on - there's no need to make the rest of us feel quite so inadequate! I've got a light in my food shed - but the battery ran out several months ago and I haven't got round to fixing it. So I just clang around the food dustbins in the dark! I suppose they have hot and cold running water so that they can shower when they want to as well? Actually I think it looks great - I'm very envious. The Dogmother
I'd love a run like that - it's fab! have you posted your picture in the 'run inspiration thread'? http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4703 It'd help others to plan their new runs.
