xScrunchee
mines ok innit? (please say yes - it took a long time to sort it) Yours looks fine to me. Similar size to the rest. Just looked on chicken forum but am too late to see the huge avatars. Think I'm a bit sad rushing off to try to look at a HUGE avatar actually-then feeling dissapointed to have missed it! What is wrong with me??????
Martin B
Maybe a bit big Chelsea! Only joking it is fine!
Mrs Frugal
They are all OK so don't worry. The thing to watch is the width. The forum is only really supposed to have 80x80 pixel avatars and some of them are considerably wider than that (including my own ). So long as they aren't wider than around 110x110, they won't affect the text on the page. Wider ones will.

Mrs Frugal
I love it, Chelsea! It's fab and colourful. It's about as wide as we can accept so that's fine.

Popcorn
I've given up. I can only get it to accept a santa hat on my hen. Adding to my signature is taking too much brain power so I've given up trying!! and now I've lost all of the red arrows.....

Goosey Lucy
Ok, I'm a complete novice with these things. I finally managed to sort out my original avatar but it took ages. Where should I be looking to find all these wonderful images? Do you design them yourselves (if so I'm impressed) or are there particular sites you go to (and I'm still impressed). Are they free or do you have to sign up for something?
Nicola H
I love all the new festive avatars and sigs. they are really getting me in the christmas mood............. Lucy I created my avatar using my Photobucket account, they have a link to a site called Meez you can pick your body image background etc. and then store it in your Photobucket account and link it to your Omlet profile.......The turkey is lovely they have another one where you can chase a turkey it is very funny............... Tessa the Duchess
Ok I need help I have spent all evening trying to find a pic and then upload one to my profile...sigh. The one I want to use is 100 x100 12kb, nowhere can I see how many pixels it uses. When I try and upload it it just says it must be no more than 80 pixels. I am using a Mac so instructions may be slightly different? Sorrry to be techie pathatic. Tessa
chelsea
now Im no techno....but maybe instead of using the browse option in your profile to upload the image from your computer, copy and paste the link in the URL space on your profile which is in a box a bit further down "link to offsite avatar". Hope this makes sense. It may not work.

Couperman
There are a number of avatar sites you can use. The animated ones like mine, cathy's and a few others, (the wider avatars ) are from meez.com it is free but you need to register. The reason (I think) you can get away, with a larger than 80 x 80 size is because the picture is hosted on the meez site and only a link is attached to the omlet site. Cathy was giggling last night because I was messing with my avatar on Meez and it was changing on the forum almost in real time! Kev. I downloaded the pic from Iconator it downloaded on to the desktop, it doesn't have a URL just a load of gobbldeegook I guess it must be bigger than 80 pixels and the Omlet site just wont have it start the search again..poo Tessa
Snowy
Tessa, do you have a photobucket account? I couldn't get mine to upload from my PC, but if you load it into photobucket, then paste the link into your sig, it seems to work.

Egluntyne
It is ever so easy to resize pictures in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Follow the instructions in the Edit Pictures bit and then upload the new pic in the usual way.

Not if you use a Mac it isn't I have nothing Microsoft on my laptop Thanks for all the help anyway. I've had enough tonight, tomorrow I'll give it all another try, or maybe try doing it on DH's PC.
