bronze
Ours is pitiful in comparison. I will try and get a picture though. I'm highly jealous of all your lovely beautifully decorated clean and tidy houses

The Dogmother
Wow Clare, he has grown so much Love the tree he is enormous now - I need a block and tackle to lift him! I love the pic of your kitten Paola.
Paola
Thank you The breeder called Azlan, Biscuit before we named him because of his colour. Your biscuit has a lovely coat and sweet face
The Dogmother
That's exactly why we called ours that - he has the thickest and softest fur and loves to sleep in my arms!
Cinnamon
Here is this years effort. Its a lot bigger than I wanted, but thats what comes of letting the man of the house buy the tree as you can see,it means a door is out of use for the festive period....... I usually prefer a smaller tree so it looks like its DRIPPING in ornaments
The Dogmother
Those presents are beautifully wrapped Sarah.
Cinnamon
The brown paper ones? Thanks - I am pretty pleased with them myself I was going to do everyones like that, but reckoned it was greener to use up all the old paper I had knocking about first. So people who are not in my immediate family are getting the paper ones this year, which means The Hubbys family basically (who won't appreciate them but what the heck?) The Dogmother
I'm using the newspaper bags for some and old wrapping paper for the rest. Next year it will all be green - either brown paper stamped with gold/silver stars of pages from the FT, also stamped.
Paola
They are gorgeous Sometimes I prefer whats on the outside to whats inside Wrapping sometimes is everything
Ain't Nobody Here
We have a family tradition with one particular piece of wrapping paper - it's foil with rather an insipid pattern on it - OH and I used it first before we were married (1988) and it is still going strong . I think there was a tear in it last year, but it's still usable .
WitchHazel
What lovely trees! Here's mine, although the photo doesn't do it justice.
Guest
haha, Hazel you have the same Billy bookcases as us (at least they look the same), right down to the same baskets, those baskets are DEFINITELY Ikea! Lovely tree and I like the hearts hanging on the door, we do that too.
Guest
I have those bookcases and baskets too, mind you I got all mine from Ebay for about 1/2 price!
Laura & CTB
This thread makes me laugh - we all want to see other people's trees then go on a detailed background search too perhaps in the new year we should start a thread " what the inside of my kitchen / living room / bathroom looks like" - hours of being nosey

Guest
We did this on an email group I was in, it started with whats on your desk and moved all around the house - each week we did a different room.

Charlottechicken
I havent posted my tree yet for this reason. I'm not proud of my house. Its got nice views though Tale a pic of your tree in front of a window Bron (or a close up of some baubles, all arty ) I will post a pic when my tree goes up in a few days, I decorated the room VERY cheaply (hand me down furniture and home made curtains, painted the walls with home mixed paint from leftovers too!), just so you are all prepared
Lesley
Both our trees are outside.... and have just lights and a star on them - they look awful in photos but actually look very nice in real life. I think the photos of interiors would be good for a thread in the new year - I can show you muddy floors, straw everywhere and dust bunnies galore
